Labour Candidates for HARROW WEALD

Vote Labour on 6 May

Archie FOULDS
Archie brings with him extensive experience of serving as a councillor in Harrow
since 1998. He has served Kenton East as a councillor and was the Leader of
Harrow Council when a major campaign of improvement of Harrow’s environment
was successfully carried out. The New Harrow Project tackled problems of rubbish,
graffiti and fly-tipping with vigour.

During Labour’s control of the Council Harrow became one of the safest Boroughs
in London with some of the lowest crime figures. Dealing with fear of crime was
Archie’s priority.

Archie is proud of Harrow’s schools and high standards in education. If elected,

Archie would serve the interests of Harrow Weald residents to improve safety,
cleanliness and the quality of life of all.

Shohidul CHOUDHURY
Shohidul, his wife and children are Harrow Weald residents and proud of it.
Shohidul is a businessman and a known community leader, working actively with
the Harrow Bengalee Association and in charity work. He has been involved in fund
raising for natural calamities such as the flooding in Bangladesh, the Tsunami in Sri
Lanka and earthquakes in India and Pakistan. A hospital has been built in
Bangladesh as a result of efforts of Shohidul and the funding secured by him.

He is passionate about safety, education and promoting small businesses for the
economic vitality of local areas like Harrow Weald. If elected, he would work within
the Council to promote the economic regeneration of local High Streets. Equally, he
is keen to see more Council investment in safer and cleaner streets. A lot has been
done to improve local schools by the Labour Government and Shohidul wants see
the improvements continuing under a Labour administration locally.

Mukesh SHAH
Mukesh lives in Harrow Weald. He is married and has two daughters both educated
locally. Mukesh is a hard working and respected leader and a volunteer involved with
a wide range of community organisations. As a Harrow Weald resident Mukesh is
concerned about the poor state of streets, pavements and the run down nature of the
local area neglected by the Tories and inactive LibDems. Mukesh wants to represent
the interests of the area more strongly than the current councillors and work with the
police and local residents to make Harrow Weald safer.

Mukesh’s special interest is in the field of learning difficulties and sports

development. To this end he has worked with local organisations such as Harrow
Mencap. Mukesh actively promotes cricket and local youth sports teams. His
contribution in the field of equality includes his work with Harrow Council for Racial
Equality and a range of diverse community organisations.
