Here is our First Power Rankings to Start the Season...

1st.... Steve Balboni........

The GM of this team is Aaron Verklan and he assembled a very solid team from top to
bottom. He started by creating the best infield in baseball with p;ayers such as Ryan
Howard, Brian Roberts, Jose Reyes, Alex Rodriguez and Jacoby Ellsbury headlining the
outfield. He also created the leagues best bullpen with names like Broxton, Bell,
Hoffman, Cordero and Valverde. If there is a weak spot on this team it would have to be
the starting pitching but, I think this team is setup to come home with a Championship.

2nd.....Philly Phan.......
A team with no major weaknesses is tough to beat and that is exactly what GM Sam Ford
has created. This team is very good from its offense which includes players like Victor
Martinez, Cano, Rollins and Prince Fielder. To his oitching staff that includes Roy
Halladay and Josh Beckett. This team could easily win it all but I see them coming up
just short of that goal.

3rd.....Team Haplin.......
Team Haplin seems to have a small window of opportunity to win because of its teams
age so this could be the year. They are filled with very solid players on offense and they
have a deep bench but like noted before the only problem is they are getting old...fast.
Not to worry however there starting pitching staff is potentially the best in the game if all
goes well and everyone stays healthy. Team Haplin finishes 3rd because of a weak
bullpen and age concernes.

4th.....Team haplin.......
The pitching for team haplin is good from top to bottom and they have some good depth.
On offense this team is stacked in the Outfield with Braun, Halliday, Ichiro and Beltran.
They have a few concernes like is there pitching good enough to win? and is there 3B
Alex Gordon going to be good enough at third.

5th.....Team Legends.......
This team is ranked at number five because they have an average offense that has one
weak spot being the aging catcher Benji Molina. However when it comes to this teams
pitching they are very good. If this team stays healthy they could finish as high as three
but if not they could fall to 8th. Unless there GM Andrew Wobig is willing to trade some
of there prospects there bench is full of.

6th.....Atlanta Braves......
This team could start the season off a little low on our list but, because of a poor bullpen
this team could lose some weeks. I like there SP they have to be the best on paper with
Verlander, Grienke, Peavy and Charpenter as there top 4. They has a solid platoon of
bench players who wont make any all star teams but will score a few points. I see this
team being able to make a run with a little luck and a trade or two.

7th......Halo Dynasty XXII.....

A team that I think will win a championship in the next three years potentially. I think
this because GM Eric Homola has comprised this group or young stars who need a
season or two to develop completly and then start winning at will. They have some of the
top prospects in the game that include Alcides Escobar, Justin Smoak, Michael Stanton,
Madison Bumgarner and Dustin Ackley. They also have a a couple guys to build around
named CC Sabathia and Hanely Ramierez.

8th.....Shorthaired Hippies.....
GM Clark Jensen has created his team based on a solid bullpen and two of the best corner
infielders in the game today named Even Longoria and Miguel Cabrera. A problem I see
with this team is there weak bench and even before the season starts they have to deal
with an injury to there best pitcher cliff lee. This team might be ranked a little high at 8th.

9th.....Team Braciola......
It seems wierd that a team with Joe Mauer, Joey Votto and King Felix Herndez could be
ranked this low in our power rankings but, it is true. The biggest reason why GM
Anthony Braciola's team is ranked this low is its pitching staff. To me it seems weak
behind King Felix and there only decent RP is Carlos Marmol. They have a nice nuculas
on offense to build around but, they might need to make some trades like moving Cabrera
for some solid piching and or prospects.

10th....Milwaukee BEERS.....
This team shouldn't be this low but, someone needs to be down here and why not the
team who has lost it best RP for the season when Joe Nathan had season ending elbow
surgery. This team scares me because they could finish in the top five by the end of the
season because of Ryan Zimmerman and a young super star in the making Justin Upton.
The rest of there offense is decent but not great and there pitchers are good at the top then
questions start appearing. This team has the abiltiy to make a move or two and if it does it
could move up this list to maybe make a run at the last playoff spot.
