Employee Self Service enables your employees to update their Personnel Information, Investment Declaration
on the intranet. They can also view their Payslips and Income Tax report. For using this you will be provided
with a link by your Payroll personnel 10.4.25.20/AscentESS/ and it will be opened in your default browser.

Login Window
Navigate through these menus as per your requirement. You may refer to the help provided
for each menu item.
Investment Declarations
This module will allow you to enter investment declarations for Income Tax calculation purpose.
Following screen will display the declarations submitted by you till date
You can enter any number of estimated declarations during financial year.
Uploaded On date will be displayed against the last submitted declaration only when it is
uploaded in Payroll software. The date of upload will be decided by Payroll personnel for the
month.
Investment Declarations
Click on New Estimated Declaration button to create new declaration. You may optionally copy the
details of declarations submitted earlier. To do this, select the declaration number from Copy From
Declaration No list and then click on New Estimated Declaration button.
Personal Details
This module will help you change your personal details such as Address, PAN, Bank, etc. in Payroll
software. You can put a request which will be approved / rejected for Payroll Personnel. Approved
requests will be uploaded in Payroll software.
Your request is pending till it is Approved or Rejected by the Payroll personnel. Till the time the last request is
approved or rejected by Payroll personnel you cannot submit new request. You may click on Delete link to
delete the last request.
For rejected requests, you will see the reason for the rejection on the top.
Upon approval of the request it will be uploaded in Payroll software.

View My payslip
You can view payslip of any month since the implementation of ESS.
Select the month from list and click on Display button. A dialog box to Open or Save PDF file will
appear on the screen. If you click on Open button then the Payslip report will be directly opened in
Acrobat Reader.
Please note that last processed month will be displayed in the list only when it is closed by Payroll
personnel.

These amounts will not be updated in Ascent Payroll. You may create new declaration based on these
amounts if you wish to change your current tax liability.

This module will help you to change your login password.

View Form 16
This is optional menu. If your company has purchased this option, you can view your Form 16 using following
screen.
Select the year from list and click on Display button. A dialog box to Open or Save PDF file will appear on the
screen. If you click on Open button then the Payslip report will be directly opened in Acrobat Reader.

Manage My Claims
Reimbursement is a Specific payment for out-of-pocket expenses. This system is also called as caf management
system. The system is configured by admin in Ascent Payroll and if employee is eligible for reimbursement, this
module will allow you to enter reimbursement claims. Once you click on Manage My Claims link, the following
screen will display.

The previous claims will be
populated, if any.
Click on New Claim button to create a
new claim, it will display the following
screen for entry.
In this screen, you will see your caf
group level details. The
claim
number
will
be
automatically generated once you
submit the claim. Below this, you will
see the actual caf system configured
in your organization. The caf groups
can be further expanded into sub
groups if it has been configured
accordingly.
