SUMMARY:
The increase in the mean annual temperature, global warming, melting ice, greenhouse
effect, a giant hole in the ozone layer, destroyed forests, damaged natural life, endangering
species, extinction of animals and plants
Did we replace some colours of rainbow with gray and black?
Is this the natural heritage we will leave for next generations?
MUST NOT BE!.
Environmental problems are increasing rapidly in recent decades. In spite of technological
development of our countries, the environment was damaged by time. We have to start
protecting nature and debate climate change if we want to leave a sustainable world to our
descendants. However, first of all, we need to learn how to learn about Ecology.
Throughout this multilateral partnership, cooperation, participation, exchange of
information and experience as well as educational materials, among the pupils and teachers of
partner countries are intended.
Focused on recognition of environmental problems of each area, discussing possible
solutions, protection of natural resources, reducing mass of wastes, being aware of the world
where we live in, verifying the goals of a sustainable development are main aspects of this
Comenius Multilateral Partnership.
The participants will use theoretical and practical methods together with ICT in order to
disseminate the data and publish the results of the study.

GENERAL PROPERTIES:
Subjects: Ecology, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, and Health (Language: English)
Age Group: 10 - 18
General Objectives:

The main aim is to raise pupils' awareness on environment and environmental problems.
b.
To respect and to protect environment.
c.
Investigate relevant information from Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
d.
Measure and collect scientific data, use a database and fill in data.
e.
Carry out experiments and draw conclusions, evaluate scientific outcomes and data.
f.
Comparison of EE methods and materials.
g.
Investigating EE curriculum.
h.
Implementing innovative methods on preparing EE materials.
Activities:

Creating a website in English (and in all languages of partnership) including EE materials


open for public.

Informing the media about our environmental activities.

Practical activities or experiments, workshops.

With the involvement of the School Comenius Committee, organising areal workshops
about ecology at least once a year.

Recycling of waste materials papers, plastics etc.

An approach to ecological education through artistic means.


Products:

Annual: A CD-ROM including magazines, partnership progress reports, photographs, videos,


podcasts and examples of teachers - students works, will be prepared.

Annual: A worksheet or booklet published in all participating languages will be prepared.

Annual: An exhibition of arts and music for environment.

First Year: An individual website in English Language, accessible to all participants will be
constructed.

Last Year: A booklet about partners, organisations, activities and results of the partnership,
will be published.
