0 Executive Summary
Milky Sphere is a food stall selling healthy and delicious herbal eggs and longan
pudding. Benefits of the stall offers to the customer are providing clean, delicious and
quality products to the customer and friendly customer service to provide a comfortable
environment for the customer to do business with us. Our target markets are students and
staffs of Infrastructure University of Kuala Lumpur. Competitive advantages of our stall
are strategic location, selling of the unique herbal eggs as it only available at our stall and
able to keep the products in best condition to guarantee the taste and flavors. The Milky
Sphere stall manages to generate RM 196.33 of net income with RM 224.67 as the start
up cost during Entrepreneur Event.
1.1 Aim and Objectives
Aim: to manage a stall for the Entrepreneur Event

To gain enough profit to compensate with the capital that we invested which is
RM 30 for renting of the booth and RM194.67 for preparation and setting up of

our stall on the entrepreneur event.


To sell out all of the prepared foods which are 148 herbal eggs and 118 cups of

longan pudding at the entrepreneur event, which was a two days event.
To gain maximum profits by preparing or replenish extra quantity of foods to be
sold on the second day of the event, which is 100 herbal eggs and 33 cups of
longan pudding.

Vision: To promote local Chineses delicacy

Our business is selling of our own prepared foods which are herbal eggs and

longan pudding.
Strive to provide our customer with the best taste and quality of our foods

associated with friendly services.


Collaboration and contribution from all team members to make this event a great
success.

1.3 Keys to Success

Secured of a strategic locations for the booth. The location is highly visible by

people passing by to attend classes.


Uniqueness of the main product which is the herbal eggs. It is only available at
our stall as we are the only group selling herbal eggs, hence no competition with

others.
Advertising of our products through attractive poster, online advertising using
facebook and the word-of-mouth advertising by friends and acquaintance have

effectively help us to promote and generate sales to our stall.


Capability of keeping the product in best condition to ensure the taste, flavor and
freshness with the usage of electricity to keep herbal eggs warm and ice to keep
the longan pudding cold.

2.0 Company Summary


Milky Sphere is a food stall, which mainly focuses on health and welfare of individual by
providing tasty yet nutritious food to customers, whom mainly are students that required
a boost of energy. Milky Sphere also provided an alternative to snacks and meals, being
able to combine both.

2.1 Company Ownership


Milky Sphere is a partnership business, which is equally owned by 6 members. Which
are:

Should the business earn profit; it will be evenly divided among six people.

2.2 Company Locations and Facilities


Milky Spheres stall will be located on booth 5, Student Foyer, Corporate Block, IUKL.
This location is chosen for registration because:
a) Near to power supply source because power is needed for the electronics used
during entrepreneurship event.
b) The stall booth is facing the main walkway beside foyer, which has high human
traffic especially before class and during lunchtime.
The location is selected by referring to available booths from foyer map that served as
reference; the map will be included in appendix.

Milky Sphere provides healthy herbal eggs and tasty Logan pudding to Infrastructure
University Kuala Lumpur students and also staffs.

3.1 Product description


Herbal egg or also known as tea egg, it is a Chinese Traditional Food. Pre-boiled eggs are
cracked and then boiled again in tea, sauce and/or spices.
Milky Sphere sells herbal eggs or tea eggs. Herbal tea eggs are a cheap and healthy
snack, consumers can get protein intake and at the same time he or she can get minerals
and goodness from the tea such as reduce risk of cardiovascular diseases and reduce high
blood pressure. Furthermore, the herbs used can provide and keeping your stomach full
for a longer period of time without adding extra calories. Herbal tea eggs are easy for
customer to consume. It is an opportunity for the foreigners to taste and enjoy it.
Others than that, Milky Sphere also sell longan puddings. Longan pudding is a velvety
soft with a mild taste of milk dessert. It is a perfect dessert on a hot day. The longan has
some very amazing benefits for health. Consume longan it can soothe the nerves and are
recommended as anti-depressants. Longan able to reduce fatigue, neurosis and are proven
to reduce insomnia and other sleeping disorders. It also improves wound healing
capability. Adding longan to the diet can thus help to reduce the risk of cancer, with its
healthy dose of polyphenols and Vitamin C.

3.2 Competitive Comparison


There is no competitor who sells herbal eggs on the Entrepreneurship event that day, but
there are few stalks sold pudding on that event day.
Three things make Milky Sphere stand out from all its competitors:

Milky Sphere stalk is at fine location, which located at the side of entrance.

Milky Sphere provides clean and delicious products to customers.

iii.

Milky Sphere provides good customer service.

3.3 Sourcing
Milky Sphere purchases its materials at different places. Milky Sphere purchases eggs
and pudding powder at food market. However, it purchases herbal egg pack at Eu Yan
Sang. Besides that, it purchases Carnation evaporate milk, longan cans and pudding
containers at Mydin supermarket.

4.0 Marketing Analysis


4.1 Description of products or services
Milky Sphere offers a Chinese Traditional Food, herbal eggs and Longan pudding to
our customers like they never tasted before. Milky Sphere is able to take
advantage on this by offering them the herbal eggs especially the fragrant scent of
the herbal concoction wafted throughout the foyer which tempted the customer to
impulsively purchase one of these delicacies on the spot. By coming out with high
quality service and product, we are sure that our business will be able to compete
with other.
4.2 Target market
The target market of Milky Sphere is comprised of the students, lecturer or staffs
in the area of Infrastructure University of Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) but almost all
targets on students more than others because the students will passing by when
they attended the class.
4.3 Market size
The market size is calculated to be around 95 people from the area of
Infrastructure University of Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), with a rough estimation of
RM 110 per day to sell 44 herbal eggs and RM 144 per day to sell 72 Longan
pudding. This will give a rough income of RM 226.30 at the end of the business.

5.0 Strategy and Implementation Strategy


Strategy is important for a business, as its purpose is to market our products to society
and world. It establishes a clear way to direct our company. Based on our performance
during the Entrepreneur Event, all strategies that have been written down in the business
plan are implemented effectively and efficiently in order to achieve our companys
objectives. These strategies are strategy pyramid, promotion strategy, distribution
strategy, pricing strategy.
5.1 Strategy Pyramid
When we sell products such as foods and deserts, the most important part that we need to
consider is the quality of the product whether it is in a good or bad condition because it
eventually affects the buying power of the customer. During Entrepreneur Event, Milky
Sphere Company sells herbal tea egg and pudding. Milky Sphere provided customers
with delicious herbal tea eggs and pudding at a competitive price.
5.2 Competitive Edge
Milky Spheres competitive edge is to provide delicious herbal eggs and pudding at a
competitive price in a good business location that contain high-volume of customer and
the location is easy to access.
5.3 Promotion Strategy
For promotion strategy, direct selling is one of the strategies we used to sell our products.
The only thing that the committee had to do is to persuade customer to buy our products.
We also used pre-order service and advertising. For advertising, Milky Sphere Company
used social media such as Facebook to advertise the products.

5.4 Distribution Strategy


Milky Sphere Company held the business at the foyer of Block 2 at IUKL for two days.
The location of our stall is easy to access; contain high-volume of consumerism such as
students, lecturers, and IUKLs staff. It is a place that maximizes the customer exposure,
therefore increasing the profit of the business. The business went on successfully. The
business held there had attracted students to buy our products.

5.5 Pricing Strategy


Milky Sphere Company offered a reasonable price. The price that Milky Sphere
Company set is RM2.50 for two herbal tea eggs and RM2.00 for a cup of pudding.

5.6 Sales Forecast


Entrepreneur Event was held for 2 days in IUKL. Firstly, we targeted to sale 50 herbal
eggs and 50 cups of puddings for each day of the Entrepreneur Event. After the
Entrepreneur Event of 1st day was ended, we found that our market sales were
overwhelming response so that the 2nd day of the event we had added more half of the
sales forecast which is 100 eggs and 68 cups of puddings for the Entrepreneur Event. In
the end of Entrepreneur Event, we had sold 148 herbal tea eggs and 118 cups of pudding.

6.0 Management Summary


Milky Sphere will have a relatively flat and simple organization in the company. All
partners who invested into this business will also act as the workers. There is no distinct
hierarchy here, with anyone manning their respective posts based on experiences.

6.1 Management Team


In Milky Sphere, Tan Sia Hui will be in charged on finance, because she has more
accounting experience than all the other members.
To stock up ingredients and containers, the responsibility falls under Lai Chun Kang and
Vivian Ting Hui Hui, as they have more experience in buying stocks will affordable
prices and know more suppliers.
Lock Lee San and Chen Yung Lin will be in charge of preparing Herbal Egg Tea and
longan Pudding respectively, as they have the required utensils and skills to prepare
those food which are to be sold.
Goh Chuen Siang will be in charge of container and reserves, where he needs to prepare
additional change if situation requires it and containers for pudding which can be keep
cool.
Nevertheless, every one of the six mentioned above will help in sales and marketing at
the booth during entrepreneurship event. This duty is performed by everyone given that if
they have no class during the period.

6.2 Organizational Structure


The organization within Milky Sphere is relatively simple and flat, all employers are
involved in sales and marketing, and the goal is to provide a simple, flexible management
which can ultimately serves customers optimally and raising capital in the process.
Although it can be divided into three functions, which are production, finance, sales and
marketing, all are connected under sales and marketing instead of general and
administration function due to few employers inside and the common job we need to do.
Production will be in charge of buying the ingredients and preparing it to become sellable
products. Finance will be in charge of estimating cost budget, collecting money during
marketing, and preparing income and cash-flow statement. For sales and marketing
personnel, the job is to sell products, serve customers, and doing promotion in IUKL
Corporate block area.

a) Rental of land = RM30.00

* Since we have less expenses or material because some of the materials that we were
brought it from our own house which consist of ice box or container, extension wire,
tissues, tablecloth and some of the decoration's things. Not only can save our budget, and
also save the resources for response to the environmental so that we had decided to bring
our own self from home. In reality, we just done 148 eggs and 118 cups of pudding
because of there were spoiled when cooked so it will influence our profit.
