Aprepositionisawordorsetofwordsthatindicateslocation(in,near,beside,ontopof)
orsomeotherrelationshipbetweenanounorpronounandotherpartsofthesentence
(about,after,besides,insteadof,inaccordancewith).Aprepositionisn'tapreposition
unlessitgoeswitharelatednounorpronoun,calledtheobjectofthepreposition.
Examples:
Let'smeetbeforenoon.
Beforeisaprepositionnoonisitsobject.
We'venevermetbefore.
Thereisnoobjectbeforeisanadverbmodifyingmet.
Rule1.Aprepositiongenerally,butnotalways,goesbeforeitsnounorpronoun.Oneofthe
