Vision of the College:


Envisions to be the center of excellence and development in research,
instruction, production and extension services for progressive leadership transcending
global technological, business and industry-driven education.
Mission of the University:
Provide advanced professional and technical instruction for special purposes,
advanced studies, industrial trade, teacher education, agriculture, fishery, forestry,
engineering, maritime, aeronautics, and land-based programs, arts and sciences,
health sciences, in information technology and other relevant fields of study. It shall
undertake research, production, and extension services, and provide progressive
leadership across areas of specialization for global empowerment.

Aims of the College:
CAS aims at the integral development of the individual toward fullness as a human
being through the humanistic and scientific studies

Aims of the Program:


The SSM department aims at the acquisition and mastery of sociological,
philosophical, behavioral, kinesthetic and aesthetic knowledge and competence to
preserve Filipino culture for global participation.

Course Description:
This course deals with the fundamentals of business organizations, marketing and
management. The theories and principles of organization and management, as well as
their application in business and industry are thoroughly discussed. The functions of
management (Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing and Controlling) and the different
forms of business ownership with their strength and weaknesses form part of the course
coverage. The course covers the benefits derived from entrepreneurship and
importance of social responsibility as another goal of business. Furthermore, this course
is also designed to familiarize the students with the principles and practices in marketing
of goods and services. It is divided into five parts, namely: marketing and the Filipino
consumer, products, price and the factors affecting price, place; and promotion of goods
and services.
General Objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Compare and contrast the different forms of business ownership
2. Assess the characteristics of a leader in a given scenario
3. Evaluate the planning, organizing, leading and controlling process used in
management cases
4. Propose solutions to management problems using principles of management
