The Compass Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity

Guaranteed Interest
The fixed interest rate is declared and guaranteed
by Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. of New York
(Ameritas Life of New York) for 12 months. At the
end of the 12-month period, a new interest rate is
declared.1
Safety of Principal
With a fixed interest rate guaranteed never to be
lower than the guaranteed minimum interest rate
established in your clients' policies, your clients are
guaranteed not to lose their principal (adjusted for
withdrawals).1
Tax-Deferral
All of your clients' earnings will grow tax-deferred,
which means they wont pay income taxes on
earnings until they make a withdrawal.2

Withdrawals from tax-deferred annuities are taxed as ordinary

income. For individuals less than age 59 1/2, IRS Penalties may
apply. Withdrawals from IRAs or other qualified plans must be
sufficient to meet minimum distribution requirements beginning
at age 70 1/2.

Target Market

This product is designed to provide safety and growth in the pre-retirement years with a
guaranteed minimum interest rate. Consider it for clients age 50-60 who are looking for safety
of principal and tax-deferral.

Issue Ages

0-85; Matures at age 95

Minimum Deposit

Qualified plans:
$2,000 single deposit
$1,000 annually
$ 100 monthly

Nonqualified plans:
$5,000 single deposit
$2,000 annually
$ 200 monthly

Interest Rate Banding

Band one:
$49,999 and lower

Band two:
$50,000 and higher

Interest Earnings

Earnings based on a monthly declared interest rate, which is for a 12-month period and with a
yearly guaranteed minimum that will not be less than 1.00% for the lifetime of the policy.1

Withdrawals

Clients may withdraw up to 10% of the account balance annually after the first policy year, free of
surrender charges. Systematic withdrawals of funds available. Withdrawal charges will NOT apply
after eight years following the policy date of the annuity, regardless of when deposits are made.
