The foot-stomping singer/songwriter and nature enthusiast teased the news to his Firestarters during his Fan Club Party and shared the
announcement on the red carpet at the 2016 CMT Music Awards.Since we began this journey-- working on the album--I knew I wanted
the title to be SPARK, said White who Billboard calls, confident, energetic presence with a mix of gravel, soul and gospel in his voice.
The idea of starting a fire from a tiny spark has always been so intriguing to me. Thats the way I have always lived my life; starting with
a small plan and then it becomes this dream I didn't even know to dream.
White's SPARK album cover tells the visual story of who Drake White is as an artist, husband and native-Alabamian. The images imprinted
into his silhouette paint a narrative of White's life, including his wife Alex, his hometown church where his grandfather served as preacher,
his dog Writer and other mementos that inspired his first full length album for Dot. Recorded in Nashville, the Ross Copperman and
Jeremy Stover produced project contains 12 tracks, 10 of which White co-wrote.

Between August 1975 and May 1976, the Allman Brothers Band
played to some of the biggest crowds of their career. Gradually,
however, the members of the band grew apart during these
tours, with sound checks and rehearsals apparently becoming a
thing of the past. Gregg Allman later pointed to a benefit for
presidential candidate Jimmy Carter as the only real "high point"
in an otherwise "rough, rough tour".
The "breaking point" came when Gregg Allman testified in the
trial of security man Scooter Herring. Bandmates considered him
a "snitch". As a result, the band finally broke up; Chuck Leavell,
Lamar Williams, and 'Jaimoe' Johnson continued playing
together in Sea Level, Betts formed Great Southern, and Allman
founded the Gregg Allman Band. The 1976 live album Wipe The
Windows, Check The Oil, Dollar Gas was seen as the last gasp
of a dying band, which was unfortunate for the now-floundering
Capricorn Records, who desperately needed the band together
for them to stay afloat. However, by 1978 moves were afoot to
reunite the band, augmented by new guitarist Dan Toler and
bassist David Goldflies, to record the much celebrated
Enlightened Rogues album, and return to touring. The album
was released in February and the recording featured here with
the new line-up came on the night before New Year's Eve of the
same year - for the record, fact fans, on the actual NYE, the
band were performing in New Haven, Connecticut.

The recording contained on this CD comes from a performance

given while BOC were on the 'Agents of Fortune Tour'. Recorded
at New York's Nassau Coliseum in the Uniondale area, out on
Long Island, on 4th February 1977, the show was broadcast on
FM Radio, giving the recording here a top drawer audio quality.
Providing a fine example of this maverick American rock band
while on the cusp of international success, this superb live show,
available here for the first time, will prove a must-have release
for all fans of the group.

First off, you can't fault the line-up; all 5 original members (Brian, Carl,
Dennis, Al & Mike) plus early recruit Bruce Johnston, who, on
Independence Day 1981, got together for a beautifully laid back and
hugely enjoyable show. And while 1981 was nobody's idea of The Beach
Boys' finest year to date, for those who wanted to spend their holiday
being entertained by one of America's finest pop bands ever, and one
who were also celebrating 20 years together while the nation as a whole
celebrated 205 big ones (since fighting their way out of the British
Empire), the Mall Park in DC was the place to be. This broadcast
recording of the entire Beach Boys' set that sunny afternoon finds the
group on good form, clearly delighted to have Brian back playing live
(even if Mike Love does make one too many comments about such - but
that's Mike for ya).

After moving to Los Angeles, Russell became a session musician,

working as a pianist on the recordings of many notable musical
artists from the 1960s. By the late 1960s, Russell diversified,
becoming successful as an arranger and songwriter. As a musician,
he worked his way up from gigs as a sideman to working with wellknown performers. By 1970, he had graduated to a solo recording
artist, although he never ended his previous roles within the music
industry.
In December 1970 "Leon Russell and Friends" recorded the
"Homewood Sessions" at the Vine Street Theatre in Hollywood,
broadcast as a one-hour TV special on KCET TV and later rebroadcast several times on the Public Broadcasting System. The
Vine Street Theatre had a little studio in the back part of the building
where the recording was made. They actually shot six hours but only
broadcast one. An extended line-up features, including: Don Nix,
Claudia Linnear, Kathi McDonald, Chuck Blackwell, Jim Horn, John
Gallie, Furry Lewis, Don Preston, Joey Cooper, Carl Radle and
'Emily' - Furry Lewis is the same Furry that Joni Mitchell later wrote a
song about (Furry Sings The Blues). The second part of this CD
features Leon with his band of the time, The Shelter People,
performing in Holland a few months later in February 1971. With both
performances providing an excellent illustration of Russell's live work
at this early juncture in his solo career, the time could not be better
for a release of this nature to co-inside somewhat with the great
man's well deserved renewed popularity.

Bob Newhart was an advertising copywriter in Chicago who

wrote comic satirical monologues with a work colleague, sending
tapes of them to radio stations, which led to an introduction to
Warner Bros. Records, who signed him on the strength of the
audition tapes. He expanded his material to develop a stand-up
routine and became a popular nightclub performer. However it
was his first LP in 1960 "The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart"
which launched him to prominence, using the technique of
portraying one end of a telephone conversation.
It became the first comedy album to reach No. 1 in the Billboard
album charts, winning a Grammy in 1961 for Album Of The Year.
The album also made No.2 in the UK album charts, where
certain tracks became popular on radio request shows. That
same year, he released the follow-up album "The Button-Down
Mind Strikes Back", which also went on to win an award for Best
Comedy Performance - Spoken Word. This great value 2-CD set
comprises every track from those two albums and also from his
next two albums "Behind The Button-Down Mind of Bob
Newhart" and "The Button-Down Mind On TV", that latter
reflecting his successful move to the small screen. It is therefore
a thorough overview of the first crucial years of his career, when
he shot to fame, and includes many of his best-known pieces.

Don Gibson was a country singer and songwriter, whose

influence and impact was achieved not only through his own hit
singles, but also those by other artists who recorded his songs.
He came to prominence in the mid-1950s, so was not part of the
honky-tonk tradition that was established in the immediate postwar decade, his music having a more modern and contemporary
flavour, occasionally transcending the divide between country
and mainstream pop and rock 'n' roll. Perhaps his best-known
song was "I Can't Stop Lovin' You", a No. 7 hit for him in 1958,
but a worldwide No. 1 for Ray Charles a few years later. His first
country No. 1 "Oh Lonesome Me", was also a pop hit for other
artists in both the USA and UK. His US No.2 "Sea Of
Heartbreak" was a UK pop hit in 1961.
This great value 58-track 2-CD collection, with extensive booklet
notes plus comprehensive discographical, chart, session and
personnel information, comprises all his A & B sides for
Columbia, MGM and RCA during the decade from 1952-62. It
includes more than 20 country and pop chart entries, among
them the No. 1s "Oh Lonesome Me" and "Blue Blue Day". It's a
fine showcase for his distinctive talent.

The '60s would continue to be Cannonball Adderley's most fruitful

period, recording no fewer than 28 albums under his own name by
the end of the decade. Several of these would include saxophonist
and flautist Yusef Lateef and pianist Joe Zawinul, the latter of whom
would compose 'Mercy, Mercy, Mercy,' a signature tune for Adderley
which first appeared on Mercy, Mercy, Mercy! Live At 'The Club' and
would reach No. 11 on the Billboard chart. As the years passed,
Adderley became increasingly enamored with the avant-garde
elements of jazz, much like his former counterpart Miles Davis. He
began to double on soprano saxophone on such albums as Accent
On Africa and The Price You Got To Pay To Be Free, while also
experimenting with new instrumentation and larger arrangements.
The 1970s would see the release of a great number of electric jazz
albums, although by now the critics were more mixed in their
reviews. Sadly, the opportunity for Adderley to retain his reputation
would never come to pass. Following his final two albums - Phenix
and Big Man: The Legend Of John Henry - Cannonball Adderley
suddenly died following a stroke on 8th August 1975, just over a
month short of his 47th birthday. With his exceptional talent and
extraordinary catalogue over his tragically shortened career, Julian
"Cannonball" Adderley will always be remembered as one of the
finest American jazz alto saxophonists in history. Included on this
four disc set are eight remastered albums - over five hours of music
in total - of some of the finest work the man ever put to record, with
Nat Adderley, Bill Evans, Yusuf Lateef and Nancy Wilson all
featuring. All in all, this compilation proves just how much of an
impact this musician had on the genre that he held so dear, and how
he is just as deserving of praise as many of his better-known
contemporaries.
While Bob Dylan has, in later years certainly, been accused of

reclusive behaviour when it comes to TV and radio interviews, he
has never been one to avoid coming forward to play his music live
for television audiences. Indeed many of his studio albums since
1969's Nashville Skyline have encouraged some form of promotional
appearance on 'the box'. This album captures many of these
broadcasts for the first time on CD, starting in 1969 with Bob's duet
on the Johnny Cash show, and taking the trail through the 1970s,
which includes live versions of cuts from albums such as Blood on
the Tracks and Slow Train Coming, and into the early 1980s with
numbers from Infidels. Including 13 broadcast recordings in all and
with a generous playing time of 65 minutes, this CD will prove a true
delight for all Dylan fans as it presents a rare collection of alternative
versions of much loved Bob Dylan compositions.

Of all the hard bop players that exploded onto the American jazz

Adderley was among the most highly-respected. Often named

The 11 song set includes a nice mix of Grateful Dead tunes,

Jerry solo tracks, traditionals, and covers. One of its greatest
strengths is how intensely personal the recording sounds. That
direct quality really seems to pierce through to the core of a lot of
people and make it easy to connect with, even for those who
have no history with the music that's being played or the people
playing it - which may well have been the vast majority of the
audience. There is not a lot else known about this gig except that
it was broadcast internally within the prison walls, and that
allegedly author/acid test pioneer/Merry Prankster Ken Kesey
himself was in attendance.

Multi-instrumentalists to a man, the band consisted of guitarists and

vocalists Hanna and Kunkel, guitarist/washtub bassist Ralph Barr,
guitarist/clarinettist Les Thompson, and harmonicist/jug player
Jimmie Fadden - with even a young Jackson Browne joining for the
first few months. Immediately leaping into the burgeoning Californian
folk rock scene, the group toured extensively around the local area,
becoming well known for their uniform of pinstripe suits and cowboy
boots. This set, recorded live early in 1974 in Nashville and
broadcast to the local area by WKDA-FM, captures the group during
this period, a time that would be considered one of the defining

The McGuire Sisters were one of the most popular of the many
female vocal groups who came to prominence in the early 50s
and enjoyed huge success through the next few years on both
sides of the Atlantic. Modelled initially on the Andrews Sisters,
the three sisters from Ohio, Christine, Dorothy and Phyllis, learnt
to sing together in the church where their mother was a minister,
and got their break via the famed Arthur Godfrey Talent Show.
They had their first hits in 1954, going on to rack up over 40
Billboard and Cash Box chart entries through to 1962, with
several making the UK charts. This great value 54-track 2-CD
set, with extensive booklet notes and discographical and chart
information, includes all those hits, plus a selection of their other
popular A & B sides released on the Coral label during that time.
It naturally includes their landmark No. 1 hits "Sincerely" and
"Sugartime".
It's a collection that not only provides a fine showcase for their
distinctive talents, but also captures the spirit of the times, as

Little Walter Jacobs was blues harmonica player, singer,

songwriter and occasional guitarist who revolutionised the way
that the harmonica was played and recorded, bringing a new
dimension to the blues during the 1950s. He was one of the first
artists to amplify his harmonica by holding it to a microphone and
maybe the first artist on any instrument deliberately to use
electronic distortion as part of his range of sounds.
He was a member of Muddy Waters' band, appearing on many of
his records during the 1950s, but from 1952 recorded for the
Chess subsidiary Checker, his releases regularly featuring a
harmonica-led instrumental on one side and a vocal performance
on the others. He scored an R&B No. 1 with his first solo single
"Juke", and another one a few years later with what became a
staple of blues bands the world over "My Babe".
Little Walter became the only harmonica player to be inducted
into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame. This great value 52-track
collection, with extensive booklet notes plus comprehensive
discographical, chart, session and personnel information,
comprises all of his Checker A & B sides from 1952 to 1960 plus
two bonus tracks from 1961 and 1962, and includes all of his 15
R&B chart hits.

During her 1992 world tour in support of the record she stopped over
in Toronto, Canada at the end of October for a stunning show at The
Phoenix, where she played a set featuring many songs from her
debut, together with unexpected Nirvana and Led Zeppelin covers,
all of which lay testament to her immense musicianship, startling
creativity and unique talent. Hot Ticket Radio were on hand that
evening to air the show live across Canada and this CD captures the
superb FM broadcast perfectly, allowing the listener to re-live the
experience as if in attendance on the night in question. Six bonus
tracks are also included here, taken from two additional radio
broadcasts both made in March 1993, which further showcase the
depth of the girl's talent. The first of these comes from a Chicago
show aired by FM Q101 across the windy city, the second finds Tori
back in Toronto, five months on from her previous visit and here the
two tracks featured are rarities then available only as B Sides.
Despite his premature passing however, recordings such as the one

included on this CD help to keep the Stevie Ray Vaughan flame
alive. Taken from a radio broadcast aired by WMMR FM, of a show
performed at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia on 30th June
1987, this set clearly demonstrates why the legend of Stevie Ray
and Double Trouble has been so enduring.

House of Waters are one of New Yorks most interesting and unique bands. Part funky jamband, part
Afrobeat and part pan-Asian, there is no other group in the world who sound remotely like them.
In a casually expert way, frontman Max ZT is the Hendrix of the hammered dulcimer, an instrument
on which he is a former American national champion. Yet while American folk music informs his
songwriting, his rippling, hypnotic, warmly psychedelic instrumentals draw on styles from around
the globe.
As one would assume from a disciple of Shivkumar Sharma, Indias greatest master of the santoor
an ancestor of the hammered dulcimer hes taking his instrument to places its never gone before.
The lush, dreamy quality of many of these songs disguises the fact that there are only three
instruments in the band: the dulcimer, Moto Fukushimas eight-string bass and Luke Notarys cajon.
