Inthisunit,studentswilllearnaboutsoilerosionanditsimpactontheenvironmentastheyaretasked
withdevelopingaplantopreventfuturemudslidedisastersfromstrikingthepeopleofOso,
Washingtonwhoexperienceseveremudslidesin2014.Studentswillfirstengageinhandson
experimentsandexploreseveralrealworldexamplestolearnaboutsoilerosionanditseffectsonthe
landscape.Studentswillcollectdataondifferentvariablesthatcanaffectsoilerosion.Usingdata
fromtheirinvestigationandtextbasedevidencefromresearchstudentswilldevelopaclaimaboutthe
