Visual Profile Rubric 2016-2017

Using the traits given to you, you will design a visual profile about yourself to Mrs.
Lee and the class. Follow the directions below to complete your task. This
assignment will count as a class work grade and count again as a piece of your
digital portfolio.
1. View the visual profile example.
2. Create a plan. How will it look on the page? Where will you place each item?
Color? Photos, Clip Art, Font, etc.? The entire page must be used.
3. Choose three traits that represent you. Explain how those traits represent
you. These must be written in complete sentences with correct spelling and
grammar. Any writing on the page must be grammatically correct.
4. Choose any program to create your profile. (Google, flyer, word document,
etc. The choice is yours.) If you do not have a computer, then you will need
complete it on a sheet of paper by hand.
5. It must be only one page (8.5 x 11). It should be neatly done and visually
appealing. Dont place too many items on the page that it detracts from
describing you. It is not about how many items you can place on the page.
6. You must have a minimum of 5 visual pieces. (Pictures, clip art, graphics, etc.)
7. You must save your visual profile in google drive for your class period. This
must be done by SEPTEMBER 15 and saved in google drive.
Additionally, you will place this file in your digital portfolio.
8. Add whatever additional information you wish to introduce yourself.
(Quotes, etc.)
9. Your assignment will be presented to the class.
Grading Scale: Out of 100 points for Profile. (You will be graded separately on
your digital portfolio later.)
2 points will be deducted for each grammatical error.
5 points will be deducted for each visual less than 5.
10 points will be deducted for each missing trait.
5 points will be deducted for each day late.
