Drought crisis in Africa

Caption: I chose this map to be on Africas drought crisis because it stood

out more than any part of the world. Currently in east Africa is experiencing
the worst drought in 60 years. There has been no season of rains, and limited
humanitarian access that resulted in food and water shortages. As you can
see on this map, it shows the severe drought happening in Africa.

Droughts have many affects on the environment since plants and animals
depend on water, just like we do. It results in more wildfires, loss of wetlands,
and poor soil quality.

Caption: This map shows the whole world and what caught my eye is how
the drought Is happening in Africa. In Kenya alone, 3.5-5 million people are
reported to be in urgent need of food assistance. Ways to help is my assisting those in
need, by getting food and water.
