SCOPE OF THE PROJECT WORK:

5 No's of Underground Metro Rail Stations (Vasant Vihar,

Munirka, RK Puram, IIT, Hauz Khas)

NATURE OF JOB:
Overall responsible for Tunnel Construction
from IIT to RK Puram (Okumura TBM) and from Munirka to RK
Puram (THI TBM). Site utilization planning for Vasant Vihar to
Munirka tunnel drive.

Lowering, Assembling & Testing of THI TBM and erection of

50T/15T overhead gantry crane.
Launching of TBM for initial drive, main drive bored tunnel
diameter 5.8m.
Breakthrough of two tunnels ( Munirka to RK Puram) both downline
and upline ( length being 1065 metre and 1069.5 metre
respectively) by THI TBMs. First ever breakthrough by THI tunnel
boring machine (TBM) in India. Supervising the retrieval/ lifting out
activity of THI TBM safely using 500 ton and 200 ton crane at RK
Puram station.
Ensuring all the works to be carried as per Method Statement,
getting all the checklists to be duly signed by Client. Controlling
lips, steps, bird mouth and spalling during ring building activity in
tunnel.
Maintaining TBM shift, Ring built, Primary and secondary grout and
tunnel construction daily reports , monitoring the delay time &
reasons for the same, in accordance with survey team maintaining
the alignment under the limits and accordingly following the ring
sequence as per ENZAN guidance system.
Carrying out Cutter head intervention , inspection & changing of
the cutters when required.( Monitoring the daily tunnel
parameters)
Site & Material Planning required for the Tunnel activities, Staff
Management (Tunnel)
Overall responsible for client checking of both downline and upline
tunnels from Munirka to RK Puram.

Site Utilization planning for Vasant Vihar to Munirka and munirka to

mid-shaft tunnel drive.
Shifting/logistics of THI TBM and launching of the same TBM at
munirka west shaft for Munirka to vasant vihar tunnel drive.
Currently looking after initial drive from Munirka to mid
shaft( Vasant Vihar) by THI TBM.
