Notebooks
You will need a 3 ring binder for this class
Some class time will be given to organize our binders via a table of contents. It is
your responsibility to keep track of your papers and keep them in order. I use binders
to assess a great portion your class work. Please include some LOOSE LEAF whitelined paper in your binder for note taking.
Binders will be collected and graded on a regular basis. You will be graded on
effort, completion organization, and accuracy.
Late Binders will only be accepted up to TWO DAYS late; 20% off for each day
late.
Tests and Quizzes
Tests will be given at the end of every chapter. You can expect to have a test
every two weeks. You will have plenty of notice to study!
Quizzes will be administered on a weekly or biweekly basis after a chapter
section is covered.
Homework
Homework is given to reinforce skills and learning. You can expect to have
homework 2 or 3 times a week. Homework may be collected, checked, or reviewed in
your binder. Homework that is collected may be handed in late for half credit.
Homework that is checked for completion and then reviewed with the class may NOT
be handed in late. However, it is still encouraged that you complete it for notebook
credit.
Attendance
Attendance to class is mandatory. If a student is absent from school, he/she is
responsible for getting the make-up work missed and turning it in the next day. The
maximum amount of time for making up missed work is one week from the day of
your absence!
