chemical used in textile industry from five countries, including China and Iran, to protect domestic

The imports of the chemical from the five countries (China, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan) will attract
anti-dumping duty in the range of USD 83.08 per tonne to USD 168.76 per tonne.

India slips to third place on business optimism index: Grant Thornton International Business Report (IBR).

State Bank of India has signed agreements with the World Bank for $625 million to support grid connected
rooftop solar programme in the Country

Farmers can avail loan up to 3 lakh rupees at 4 % rate of interest. The interest subvention rate has slashed from
5% to 3% up to one year for loan amount upto 3lakh rupees.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved
increased limits in foreign investment in Axis Bank from 62% to 74% of the total paid up share capital of the
Axis Bank on a fully commodity basis.

a payment instrument that is accepted by a predefined set of merchants that have been contracted specifically by

Indias first insurance policy covering public liability to an atomic power plant operator has been issued to
Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited(NPCIL). The total premium of such policy is Rs 100 crore for a

through these synthetic bonds. These bonds will bear a fixed coupon and will have a incumbency period of 3

The New Development Bank (NDB) of the BRICS countries is set to issue green bonds in Chinese yuan to raise
funds for clean energy and infrastructure projects. The bank plans to issue 3 billion yuan worth of five-year
bonds denominated in Chinese currency on July 18 also bond proceeds will be used to finance green projects in
BRICS Nations.

E-fashion store Myntra Designs Pvt. Ltd has acquired Bangalore-based Cubeit to gain access to its employees

SCHEMES

With a massive target of training 50 lakh apprentices, The Union Cabinet presided over by Mr. Narendra Modi
approved the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme. This scheme has a disbursal of about 10,000 crores
in order to achieve its vast target of training 50 lakh apprentices.
Meghalaya Governor V.Shanmuganathan inaugurated the launch of Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva
Abhiyan (PMSMA) in the East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya at a programme organized by the office of the
District Medical & Health Officer, East Khasi Hills District, under the aegis of the National Health Mission
Cabinet approves Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) with an outlay of Rs.12000 crore to impart
skilling to One Crore Indian population in the next four years.

An insurance Scheme for the cattle breeders has been announced by the BJP led Haryana Government
named Jokhim Prabandhan Aur Pashudhan Bima Yojana. The Scheme is the result of recommendations made in

North Eastern state Manipur has joined the Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana (UDAY) scheme. It is the 14th
state to join the UDAY.. The state will get benefit of around Rs 263 crore upon joining and can improve the
state efficiency of the Discoms. The state also the first in Northern states to join in Scheme.
Government of India made a pact of Allowing four Public Sector Insurers in PMFBY (Pradhan Mantri Fasal
Bima Yojana). Along with the existing 11 private sector Insurers now Government allowed Four PSUs
namely LIC(life Insurance Corporation of India), General Insurance Corporation of India, National Insurance
Co. ltd, Oriental Insurance Co. ltd. to increase the agricultural insurance cover to a great extent.
Union Finance Ministry has launched the fourth Tranche of Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGB) for resident
individuals and institutional investors. It will be open for investment from July 18 to 22.The issue price of

the 4th tranche has been fixed at Rs. 3119 per gram of gold based on average of last week prices of physical
gold.
The investment in SGB is also eligible investment for Statutory Liquidity Ratio of Banks. The SGB is eligible

Haryana Governemnt set up a board for Developing new industrial township in Guragon District of Haryana.
