I was initially employed with Etrade in the Tele-Sales Dept as the company had
just launched within the Uk market. The role involved cold calling prospective
clients from data that had been captured via surveys etc. After working with the
sales and marketing team for around 6 months, I was given the opportunity to
move into the back office and trained to become a Stock Reconciliation Clerk and
work toward my Registered Representative of the LSE Certificate, after 18
months I achieved this and also went on to become CREST certified. Whilst
working for Etrade I also had the opportunity to represent the company at many
exhibitions and trade fairs throughout the country.

Working as part of the small sales desk team, my main duties were B2B cold calls
to promote awareness of products and to build a portfolio of clients, as well as
client retention and telephone support for field sales staff. As this was a relatively
small company it was very hands on, so I was also involved with purchase ledger,
billing and account management. After building good relationships with clients I
was given the opportunity to move into a field sales role dealing direct with
clients from my portfolio.

Working as a recruitment consultant solely in the construction Industry. I was


responsible for generating my own business within the South and East of
Yorkshire. This I achieved via cold calling and via site visits. Building and
maintaining relationships with clients making sure that there needs were met,
which also involved interviewing and sourcing good Temps and Perms from
Skilled Trades to Site Managers and Foremen to Unskilled Laborers. Ensuring
that there needs were met, endeavoring to always have contracts for them to move
onto as completion of works came up. Keeping a well maintained database of
candidates in order to service client requirements.

Bessacarr and Knollbeck Caravans, is a family run company where I have been
employed since 2008, we had great initial growth and despite the current
economic climate have managed to keep the employees and the business running
for 6 years as it is now and 18 years altogether. Unfortunately due to increased
lack of business, the decision has been made to close the company. Whilst
working for Bessacarr my duties have been varied. I initially came on board to
source new service contracts with larger retailers and procure approval from
Manufacturers to undertake there work, for example Explorer Group / Eldiss and
NCC which we have had great success with, as well as become insurance
approved repair status for most Manufacturers. As a small company I have also
had the opportunity to become experienced on the shop floor and learn the trade
of Motor Home Conversion and Caravan Repair, as well as stock management,
rotation.

Hobbies and Interests

I enjoy outdoor pursuits kayaking, rock climbing and walking.
