How does this work?



This Strategy helps students be more positive and successful with their
schoolwork, it helps them complete the task without getting overwhelmed
and at their own pace finishing their responsibility.

Grade Level?

Research was manly about Elementrary school students but could be used for
all level of students.

Could this strategy be used for everyone in an inclusion class?


Yes I believe this could work with all students Special Education or not. If they
can believe that they can do the task and be successful with it they most likely
will be.

Have the examples taped to their
desk incase they are forgotten
Have the students use positive self-
talk to a partner
Encourage the students to use
positive self-talk on all things like
classwork, homework, and tests.
Even when they arent having a
hard time so when they are they
will be in the habit of using it and it
should help them finish
assignments and feel more
confident with their schoolwork.
