teachers have) AND REFERENT (gain trust, respect, refer to pupils
interest) power but never COERCIVE power. (threaten the pupils eg
punishment if they din finish the homework)

encouragement, support and flexibility
The teacher empowers students and get them to do things of which they
did not think they were capable of
