NATURE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operating the plant at highest efficiency levels at desired product quality.

Maximizing production at minimized input resources and cost effectiveness
Maintaining of process parameters at optimum levels.
Periodical logging of process values.
Continuous observation of rotating equipments in the field, checking for any
abnormalities.

Employer:

Joined Coromandel Fertilizers Ltd., an ISO 9000, ISO 14001,

OHSAS 18001 and well implemented PSM System organization, in
2011 as Operation Technician trainee. Confirmed as an Operation
Technician-I in 2012.

Unit Worked
: Having experience in Operation, Commissioning,
Decommissioning, Trouble Shoot, Efficiency, Monitoring, Safe working practice
Control and Quality Control of the following:

Boilers :

One Boiler of 32 MT/Hr. (Combustion Engineering, USA. Make) at 32

Kg/Cm2 and 3160C, Natural Circulation, Oil Fired, Forced Draft, Water
Tube Boilers.

Water Treatment:

Water Treatment by ION-Exchange method, Three Demineralising

Streams of
75M3/Hr. Each. Treatment of return condensate from
process plants.

5.0 MW BHEL Turbine Generator Set :

Maintaining specific steam consumption of turbo generator set below 5.0

MT/MW.

Instrument Air&Plant Air System :

Screw compressor (Atlas cap co make) of 900 cfm at 7 kg/cm2 with drier.

Ammonia Storage:

Two Nos. of Atmospheric Ammonia Storage Tanks (AAST) each capacity

of 5000 MTs and 7500Mts (UDHE India Make) with ship unloading facility
of 500 MT/Hr. Through 5 Km. pipe line. Ammonia heating and
Distribution system. Ammonia Refrigeration and Condensation.

 Refrigeration And Air Conditioning:

Vapor Absorption Refrigeration System (Thermax Make) with a capacity of

300 TR.

Water Systems:

Drinking Water, Fire Water, Process Water, Rinse Water, Cooling Tower
Water and Salt Water.

Other Functional Areas:

Raw Materials Receipt and consumption. Pressure Vessels, Safety

Lessoning with various authorities like Municipal Corporation. For supply
of Raw Water, HPCL, for supply of LSHS.
Scheduling Valves Testing and other statuary requirements.

DCS:

We are having a Distributive Control System of Centum VP series.

We are having a separate emergency shutdown system with safety
interlocks.
Good working hands on both DCS and PLC.

Field of Experience:
Experienced at handling of ammonia Pumps (submerged pumps).
Ammonia compressors, flare system, centrifugal pumps, screw
compressors, Heaters, condensers, cooling towers and blowers etc.

In shift Supervision I Am Responsible For:

Monitoring and controlling of process parameters & equipments condition.

Stabilizing the plant during emergencies
Startups and shutdowns of the plant.
Maintaining safety and housekeeping in work area.
Handing over the equipments safely for maintenance after positive isolation.
Generating requisite HOT and COLD work permits for the concerned job.

I have ample exposure to the implementation of procedures for
Quality Systems like PSMS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 180001 in my present
