Based off our conversation, 2015 PSA1 (coming to ISU) and 2015 PSA2 (coming to ISU) visited officially July 19-July 21, 2015.
When the official visit paperwork was submitted for approval, SA1 was to be PSA1s student host and SA2 was to be PSA2s.
However, both SA1 and SA2 were unable to serve as student hosts due to issues arising, and SA3 served as the host for both,
receiving $160 of host money as opposed to $120 (Bylaw 13.6.7.5(a)).
Iowa State will need to declare PSA1 PSA2 SA3 ineligible but can reinstate them
internally once they donate $13.34 ($40/3 one SA and two PSAs) to a charity of
their choice. Additionally, Iowa State will provide further education on student
hosts to the Men's Wrestling staff.

Coach mistakenly thought PSA was entering her senior year of high school in 2015-16 and responded to her email under that assumption.
However, when he went back through the email conversation, Coach realized PSA was only entering her junior year and he had emailed her too
early (prior to September 1st of her junior year). Coach immediately notified compliance of the error.
Iowa State women's swimming and diving staff is precluded from having any
written communication with 2017 prospective student-athlete (PSA) for a period of Accepted

early call. Coach returned the call from the former ISU swimmer, not knowing the former swimmer was actually the prospect's
father.
Iowa State women's swimming staff is precluded from calling the prospect the

During the PSA's visit, two additional tickets were reserved for the PSA's brothers to purchase for the home football game. Instead
of having her family call the ticket office to inquire about ticket availability, a softball assistant coach emailed the ticket office
directly to see if there were tickets available. From there, the ticket office placed two tickets for purchase to be picked up and paid

Wrestling graduate assistant (GA) and senior-level wrestler (SLW) had planned on visiting a mutual friend and potentially working a
wrestling camp in Chicago on the weekend of October 10-11, 2015. The camp, which was originally planned to be loosely
associated with a combine, was ultimately canceled. GA and SLW, however, decided to attend and watch the combine. This
resulted in a violation of Bylaw 13.1.2.3 when GA attended this event. GA also briefly spoke with some prospects after being
approached by the prospects at the conclusion of the event. He did not recall the names of any besides PSA1, PSA2, and PSA3. GA
also did not see himself as recruiting. He said conversations were brief and resulted from individuals approaching him. Also, at
some point during the event, SLW had incidental contact with prospects and/or their parents at the event. In particular, he had

brief contact with two prospects that have signed NLI's with Iowa State, PSA1 and PSA2. SLW explained the contacts were general

Men's basketball program had two non-recruited prospective student-athletes (PSA1 and PSA2 - both of whom were athletics
award winners) help instruct at an institutional shooting camp on June 16, 2016. The Iowa State (ISU) men's basketball program
had submitted an initial list of projected camp workers for the shooting camp taking place on June 15th-June 16th to compliance
prior to the camp beginning, and the list was approved on May 20th, 2016. However, after an influx of registered campers
occurred over the weekend (June 11th, 2016), the staff decided to add more instructors to accommodate the change in camper
numbers and PSA1/PSA2 were local individuals willing and available to help with the camp on short notice.

Student-athlete (SA) wrote articles for a website where content providers post articles about various issues. SA did this
in order to gain experience in the field of communications since that is her area of study and she wanted it to appear on
her resume. Institution was pursuing a waiver to allow SA to be paid to generate content for this site. While the waiver
was pending, SA received $20 as payment, which was deposited into her PayPal account, for one of her articles since
it received the most "shares" that week. The article referenced that SA was a soccer player at Iowa State and included
pictures of her and other student-athletes. SA contacted the website on June 30, 2016, to tell her that she could no
longer write for them and that she needed them to retract the payment from her PayPal account. Then on July 18,
2016, SA noticed that she had received a payment of $100 from the website. SA contacted Compliance and contacted
her former advisor from the website to inform her that she had received payment after she had ceased writing articles.
SA returned the payments back to the website prior to depositing them into a bank account or using them in any
fashion.

prospects, PSA1 and PSA2. Iowa State University will reduce the number of

be more aware of what his staff is doing and potential compliance issues. SLW was

to prospective student-athletes or their parents and that such actions coud result
in disassociation from the athletics department. The compliance office educated
all sports on bylaws 11.7.2 and 12.1.2.3. The compliance office has also created an
edcuation handout that will be delivered to all local senior level wrestlers.
PSA1 and PSA2 have been declared ineligible at the institution and ISU will
