HSA and Subgroups Terms

In the document HSA means HigherStudyAbroad and its Executive Board means the governing
body responsible for its overall directives. Subgroup means any group under the wing of HSA,
and its Admin panel are the people running and responsible for it. Note: The term Subgroup and
Collaboration will be used as a different context throughout HSA.

1.

HSA will consider its subgroup its own part throughout the relationship. A subgroup will
have body of admins who are selected (or in consensus or approved) by HSA Executive
Board. The subgroup admin body will be responsible for running day-to-day activity of the
group independently, under the regulations of HSA.
2. Election of new admins for the Subgroup should be discussed prior to election with the HSA
Executive Board.
3. HSA will help its subgroup for its publicity, and with any kind of promotional activity and
help its expansion as a whole through HSA's network of the main group, fanpage, top
executives and active volunteers in all scale. Main Group would refer to:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/HigherStudyAbroad/
4. HSA will help its subgroups by providing volunteers. Subgroup admin or leader would inform
HSA Executive Board with the request. The board should always be informed about current
active volunteers being used.
5. HSA will help its subgroups for arranging seminars by providing speakers and organizing the
whole event, and do necessary publicity.
6. HSA will help its subgroup for launching any new product or develop educational materials.
Any public product launch or announcement under the HSA brand sould be pre-discussed in
common audio conferencing meeting by the Subgroup admins with Executive Board. The
subgroup is a part of the HSA brand- so any Subgroup admin as a single unit or as a whole,
launching any product in the higher studies zone outside of the brand of HSA, will be
considered as a breach of agreement, and terminate the relationship immediately. The
defaulter person or group will be excluded from the hierarchy of HSAs organizational
structure. However, the person could always remain as a member of the group and receive its
general benefits.
7. HSA will help the Subgroup to become strong, and help with any kind of problem solving and
advising on continual basis.
8. Subgroup Admins always will be regarded as special nodes in the HSA organizational
hierarchy. Depending of performance, subgroup admins as a single unit or whole, will be
gradually added to the active circles of HSA the path follows to the topmost circle of the
chain up to Executive Board.
9. If Subgroup would like to collaborate with another group, it would represent HSA. It is
strongly advised that Subgroup Admins discuss collaboration with other groups with HSA
Executives beforehand and get pre-approval to avoid misunderstanding.
10. Subgroup description should mention its a part of Main HSA group and should have a link to
it. All HSA Main group regulations are applicable to Subgroups and should have a link to it:
http://on.fb.me/GroupGuideline.
11. In ideal circumstances, the HSA Profile should create a new subgroup and should be one of
the admins. In many cases, some of HSA Executives might require becoming admin of the
subgroup too.
12. Before taking any major decision about Subgroup from HSA, the Executive Board will
always take inputs from Subgroup admins and consider their valued opinion for the
betterment of the group. HSA will pre-discuss and inform Subgroup admins before making

any major change affecting the subgroup. However, in any case if conflict of interest arises
between HSA and its subgroup about the group direction or decision making- HSA
Executives have the rights to intervene and their decision will be considered final, and will
override all earlier decisions.
13. HSA has all rights reserved on anything using its brand, by name or by association. Since a
Subgroup is a part of HSA, in case of any resistance occurring from Subgroup or its adminsthe HSA Executive Board has rights to post roadblock announcements, pause Subgroup
activity, remove any group member, any post or any Subgroup admin from Adminship,
without notice. This is a special situation and will be considered as a last resort.
14. All associated fanpages of the Subgroup also share the brand value of HSA, and hence, will
also follow all the same regulations as described above.

Thank you very much for your time and co-operation. Let us become strong together and make a big
social impact.
