northern Adriatic Sea off the island of Krk
(Veglia, in Italian), Primorie-Gorski Kotar
county, Croatia.

BACKGROUND
Krk is located near Rijeka in the Bay of
Kvrner and is the biggest island in the
Adriatic, with an area of 409.9 square
kilometres.
