The Outdoor Raising July 23 was a great success with 45 Masons

attending. New Carlisle Lodge raised Bro. Steve Caraway, a courtesy
candidate from Morning Star Lodge, to the Degree of a Master Mason.
Mt. Olivet Lodge cooked and served a free lunch after the meeting.
Thanks to head chef WB. Geoffrey Fisher for grilling hamburgers, hot
dogs and sausages. A BIG THANKS to Bro. Tim Mulligan for allowing
us to use his beautiful property and wooded area.

the registration and screening process and 52 units were donated. Thanks

furnished by New Carlisle Lodge to those who donated blood.

A more permanent Plastic Membership Card will replace the use of paper
cards. The card will be identical in size and shape to a credit card. The
face will be colorful and contain your name and lodge-related
information. The back side will look like the current cards back side.
Moving to this type of card should result in a significant cost savings. A

Maxson, Secretary, Ranold Seymour, Treasurer, Donald Rutledge, Captain of Host, Richard Boitnott, Principal Sojourner, Roger Thornbury, Royal Arch
Captain, Steven Raiff, Master 3rd Veil, Ted Buskirk, M 2nd Veil, Bobby Jones, M 1st Veil, Richard Grigsby and Guard, Jordan Ashley.
Council officers elected include: Illustrious Master, Robert Maxson, Deputy Master, Steven Raiff, Principal Conductor of Work, Roger Thornbury,
Recorder, Timothy Holiga, Treasurer, Donald Rutledge, Captain of Guard, Richard Boitnott, Conductor of Council, Ted Buskirk and Sentinel, Willis Boitnott.
Grand Council of Royal and Select Masons of Ohio will hold their Grand Communication October 3 and 4 at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio. The Grand
Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio will host their Grand Convocation at Kalahari Wednesday and Thursday, October 5 and 6.
The Grand Chapter of Ohio will officially celebrate their 200th Bicentennial Anniversary this year in a Gala/Grand High Priest Reception at the Holiday
Inn in Independence, Ohio on Saturday 29 October 2016. Delegates from American Union Chapter, Marietta, Cincinnati Chapter and Horeb Chapter,
Worthington, Ohio met in Worthington on 21 October 1816, and after three days of intense discussions resolved, unanimously, that it is right and
expedient to establish a Grand Royal Arch Chapter in the State of Ohio. They adjourned to meet on Thursday 24 October 1816, on which day the Grand
Chapter of Ohio was officially organized. A Chapter of Royal Arch Masons was opened, election held in which Samuel Holt of Marietta was elected as
the first Grand High Priest of the State of Ohio.
Royal Arch Masonry is described as the root and marrow of Freemasonry, where all who avail themselves will discover the greatest treasure of a
mason-the long lost Masters word. All Master Masons should be interested in Masonic Advancement so as to have a better understanding of the
Masonic system, additional masonic contacts, and an explanation of that great symbolism upon which the fraternity has built such an informative
superstructure. We invite those symbolic lodge members who are not now members of the Chapter to ask any of the chapter officers for a petition and
avail yourself in participating in the beautiful Allegory (meaningful stories) that contain plain statements of truth, easily understandable and helpful in
our relation to life. Lodge symbolism deals with the material side of life, while the Chapter degrees (4 in number-Mark and Past Master, Most Excellent
Master and Royal Arch), are directed more to the spiritual side of life. There is no memory requirement, and the candidates are actual participants in
the floor work of the degree, which leads to a better understanding of the lessons intended. Fees for joining are thirty-five dollars.

Chapter and Council meet the third Tuesday of each month with exception of July and August
August 30 @ 6:30 PM - Chapter officers will hold a planning and rehearsal meeting
September 20 Stated meetings - Chapter 7:00 p.m. and Council 8:00 p.m.
