I. Essay Guidelines and Due Date
This essay is due on Thursday, August 23, 2007. Before you get started, please review
the guidelines we discussed in class to hone your writing skills and sharpen your
argument.
You are required to produce an essay that consists of five parts. Your finished product
must be in Times-New Roman, 12-point font. Each paragraph should be at least five
sentences long.

responds to one of the following prompts:
1. How is the method Socrates uses to question Euthyphro successful or
unsuccessful?
2. Does Euthyphro learn what piety is?

Do not use first-person pronouns or contractions in this essay.
Use the present tense. Do not shift to the past tense in your
conclusion.
