(once upon time Rechan and Edward accidently met in a caf near Trisakti

University, they were a good friend in junior high school until they found a
different way where Rechan chose SMAN 54 for his senior high school and
Edward chose SMAN 68 to continue his study)

Rechan : Hi broo, whats up?

Edward : Hi broo whats up! long time no see huh
Rechan : Yeah, about three years after we graduated from junior high..
Edward : Yeah, its been long time bro hahaha, by the way what are

you doing here?

Rechan : I think I need to relax a bit after knowing that I was accepted

as a student of department of geology in trisakti university

Edward : Oh know, it cant be
Rechan : haha why?
Edward : Because I also propose to study there, and guess what? I was

accepted too hahaha

Rechan : What you kidding me right?
Edward : hahaha nopee, so what makes you want to study geology?
Rechan : its because my brother was in petroleum engineering, and
its so excited when he spoke about what he had learnt from it.. how

about you?
Edward : Oh so thats why you choose geology to continue your

college.. Me? I know a bit about geology and Im really curious on it..
Rechan : Curious on what?
Edward : Curious on why geology focus in study of rocks, how they

separated kind of rock like igneous, sedimentary and metamorf..

Rechan : hmm I see.. its excited you know when something that you
dont know and youre about to know something of it.. From what I
know, they separate kind of rocks its because it has a difference
mechanism of each rocks, and each rocks have their own unique, of

course in their physical and chemical properties..

Edward : I guess its gonna be a long chat huh? haha, so why dont we

Rechan : oh okay, hahaha.. yeah lot of things need to be discussed

Rechan : Hmm, Edward.. What do you know about geology?

Edward : Recently, I read an article about basic of geology.. And I know

a little from it, such as Geomorphology, Structure Geology, Mineralogy,
Paleontology etc.. its kinda excited you know, there are many things to

learn in geology
Rechan : Yeah, I know a bit too, but I havent heard about Paleontology

and Geology structure.. Can you explain it, in short?

Edward : Sure, why not.. Paleontology is a scientific study of life in the
past, It includes the study of fossils to determine organisms' evolution

and interactions with each other and their environments.

Rechan : So, even from fossil we could make a lot of story huh? hahaha

how about structure geology?

Edward : Yeah I guess so, hahaha. Oh yup I forgot, Structure geology is
the study of the three-dimensional distribution of rock units with

respect to their deformational histories.

Rechan : I still dont get it what you mean about structure geology, but
since you mention 3D distribution of rock, I started to guessing about

Geometry in calculus..
Edward : Yeah maybe, something like that, but to be honest, I dont
understand

Rechan : Hmm okay, since you ask about geomorphology and
mineralogy.. maybe I start from geomorphology first.. geomorphology
is the scientific study of the origin and evolution of topographic and
bathymetric features created by physical, chemical or biological
processes operating at or near the earth's surface. and mineralogy is a
subject of geology specializing in the scientific study of chemistry,
crystal

structure,

and

physical

(including

optical)

properties

of

minerals.
