Scenario: HR Professional people used to work with one "shared" FND user to approve self-service transactions submitted by employees. There is only one FND_USER for all HR Professional employees. This FND_USER is linked to a person who is a contact in HR. There is no responsibilities linked to this FND_USER because HR Professional users are not allowed to use any SSHR features. When a self-service responsibility including "HR Return for Correction" function is linked to this FND_USER, everything is working fine, ie HR Professional can use the Return For Correction link available in the notification. Issue: When attempting to HR people tried to use the Return For Correction link available in notification the following error occurs. ERROR ----------------------Error You have insufficient privileges for the current operation. Please contact your System Administrator. EXPECTED BEHAVIOR ----------------------HR Professional users needs to be able to use the RFC link available in the approval request notification whenever they do not have access to any Self-Service responsibility. STEPS ----------------------The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps: 1. Employee submits approval request to the HR team 2. HR team logged with HR_MAILER FND user receive the approval request
3. HR_MAILER open the notification and click on Return For
Correction. 4. The error is displayed BUSINESS IMPACT ----------------------The issue has the following business impact: Due to this issue, users cannot use the RFC feature CAUSE The issue is due to the fact that the "HR Return for Correction" is not granted for the user firing the function. This is a known issue. Raised a bug to know how to have access to the "HR Return for Correction without having to link a responsibility to the user firing the RFC. See Bug 13386623 SOLUTION IF responsibility is not available customer can define grant for the function. . Steps for creating grant: 1. Go into the responsibility: Functional Administrator 2. Navigate to MENUPATH > Steps for creating grant: 2.1. Click on Permission Sets tab. 2.2. Click on Create Permission Set button. 2.3. Enter the Name and Code say 'PS1'' 2.4. Click on Apply button. 3. Select System Administrator responsibility. 3.1. Navigate to Application > Menu 3.2. On the Menu form, F11 Search for 'PS1%' in the name field and Cntrl F11 The permission set should populate. Attach 'HR Return for Correction Page' function. (PQH_SS_RETURNFORCORR) 3.4. Save the details. 4. Select responsibility - Functional Administrator 4.1. Click on Create Grant button. 4.2. Enter the name as 'PQH_SS_RETURNFORCORR' 4.3. Select 'All Users' for Grantee Type
4.4. Enter 'PS1' for the Set.
4..5. Click on Apply button. 5. Retest the issue. 6. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments. .
