Brownies is not suitable for adolescent. It is appropriate for adult because it contains some sex

Brownies is Indonesian film based on novel written by Fira Basuki. The film was
released in 2005 by SinemArt and directed by the Indonesia prominent movie director, Hanung
Bramantyo. This film starred the professional artist at the 2000s like Marcella Zalianty, Bucek
Depp dan Luna Maya. This movie is about love affair and a story on making brownies that
combined good enough . Brownies got the special attention from the moviegoers and nominated
as one of the best movie in 2005.
This movie portray the love journey of Amel (Marcella Zalianty)someone addicted
making a brownies. The problem begun when Amel finally came home from Singapore and
wanted to surprised her fience, but a bitter moment happened when he saw that her fience named

Joe was having sex with another girl, and straightly she broke off with Joe. Later on, she couldnt
stop thinking about Joe because she was still in love with him. And she planned to take revenge
by flirting with numerous boy. Until one day, her best friend acquaint Amel with Are (Bucek
Depp)-- an aspiring novelist and brownies maker. Amel and Are, they both like making brownies
but Are have an ability to cook brownies more delicious. Since their first meeting, they spent
time together and Amel finally knew what the key to make delicious brownies from Are.
Eventually they both fall in love confess their feeling each other and share a brownie.
Personally, this movie has a simple story because it mainly about love affair. But, the
movie bring us to the real problem in life that usually happened. Brownies is directed by the
talented Hanung Bramantyo, so dont worry about the quality of the video because brownies is
the first film in Indonesia that used high-definition video. The appropriate soundtrack by Gigi
also what makes the film amusing.
On the first time watching Brownies, you will amazed by the play of Marcella Zalianty
that can adjust well with the character of Amel. But apparently for Are that played by Bucek is
bitly not appropriate enough because the character of Are shouldnt be played with stiff way as
Bucek play. Also, at some scene theres a sex scene that eventough it just little, it is not suitable
to watch by children under 17.
Overall the film has a boring plot because it has nothing special to offer. But apart fom
that, the movie has some moral value that teach us to not easily give up. This movie isnt a very
good movie, but its okay to watch in your spare time, but noted that this movie is just suitable
for adult.
