Welcome to the 2016-2017 School Year!

Hello! My name is Mr. Jaskolski and I will be your Social Studies teacher this year. I
am extremely excited to begin working with all of you this year. This year, the class will
discuss ancient civilizations from around the world. The civilizations include Ancient Egypt,
Greece, Rome, China, Mesopotamia, Africa, and Central and South America. We will be
examining the historical events which shaped the civilizations, their different cultures and
governments, and their differing social aspects. The overall goal of the class is to help
students understand how these civilizations and cultures have evolved to form our modern
day societies.
