Prey Gaming was created in 1997 and we
set out to make a place that people could
go to play PC games. All of our employees
here at Prey are very talented and we have
hired you because we believe you are too.
In this book you will read everything you
need to know about working here and creating
amazing things. Although these rules and
requirements are important it is really you
that will make a difference in Prey Gaming

-1Welcome To Prey!
We stride to be a the very best not in the market but as well as with our employ
ees.

Cable Ties - A cable tie or tie-wrap, also known as a hose tie, or zip tie, is a
type of fastener, for holding items together, primarily electric cables or wire
s.
Capacitor - a device used to store an electric charge, consisting of one or more
pairs of conductors separated by an insulator.
Class C Fire Extinguisher- Fire extinguishers with a Class C rating are suitable
for fires in live electrical equipment. Both monoammonium phosphate and sodium bi
carbonate are commonly used to fight this type of fire because of their noncondu
ctive properties.

Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) - Also called radio-frequency interference (R

FI) when in the radio frequency spectrum, is a disturbance generated by an exter
nal source that affects an electrical circuit by electromagnetic induction, elec
trostatic coupling, or conduction.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) - is the sudden flow of electricity between two e
lectrically charged objects caused by contact, an electrical short, or dielectri
c breakdown. A buildup of static electricity can be caused by tribocharging or b
y electrostatic induction.
Ergonomics - the study of people's efficiency in their working environment.
Floor cable guard - Protect cables and power cords in high-traffic areas with th
ese versatile covers. Featuring a low-profile design, they reduce tripping hazar
ds and prevent incidental damage.
Equipment Ground - A conducting connection, whether intentional or accidental,
between an electrical circuit or equipment and the earth, or to some conducting
body that serves in place of the earth.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) - Congress created OSHA in
1971 following its passage of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to
ensure safe and healthy working conditions for workers by enforcing workplace la
ws and standards and also by providing training, outreach, education and assista
nce.
Noise - is sound that is not wanted by the perceiver, because it is unpleasant,
loud, or interferes with hearing
Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)- Electromagnetic radiation which is emitted b
y electrical circuits carrying rapidly changing signals, as a by-product of thei
r normal operation, and which causes unwanted signals (interference or noise) to
be induced in other circuits.
Self-grounding - to prevent any electricity from your body shocking the computer
and burning it.
Type C Fire Extinguisher - suitable for fires in live electrical equipment. Both m
onoammonium phosphate and sodium bicarbonate are commonly used to fight this typ
e of fire because of their nonconductive properties. prey.PNG
