a) Importance and demand of Indian agro products in overseas. Mangoes,
Walnuts, Grapes, Bananas, Pomegranates account for larger portion of fruits
exported from India while Onions, Okra, Bitter Gourd, Green Chillis,
Mushrooms and Potatoes contribute largely to the vegetable export.
b) Not only perishable but also agro products like manure, animal feed are in
great demand
c) The major destinations for Indian fruits and vegetables are UAE, Bangladesh,
Malaysia, UK, Netherland, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

e) Though India's share in the global market is still nearly 1% only, there is
increasing acceptance of horticulture produce from the country. This has
occurred due to concurrent developments in the areas of state-of-the-art cold
chain infrastructure and quality assurance measures. Apart from large
investment pumped in by the private sector, public sector has also taken
initiatives and with Government assistance several Centers for Perishable
Cargoes and integrated post-harvest handling facilities have been set up in
the country. Capacity building initiatives at the farmers, processors and
exporters' levels has also contributed towards this effort.
f) How to start kit today, we are here to discuss this topic. We will have to do
small preparation in order to start own export. To start, we will have to
understand a real meaning of it. Export means, to deliver our produce to
foreign countries safe and intact. Many factors are responsible behind this,
for eg- Produce quality; produce pre cooling, value addition treatments,
packing and logistic finally.

How to start procedure
India is the largest producer of ginger and okra amongst vegetables and ranks
second in production of potatoes, onions, cauliflowers, brinjal, Cabbages, etc.

Amongst fruits, the country ranks first in production of Bananas (22.04%), Papayas
(40.74%), Mangoes(32.65%) and may more.
Firstly, we will have to observe kind of pest in our produce, secondly, we will have to
find solution to it and third to find a right pest control. To get farm registered with
local horticulture department.
