1. What is ICT?
ICT (information and communications technology - or technologies) is an umbrella term
that includes any communication device or application, encompassing: radio, television,
cellular phones, computer and network hardware and software, satellite systems and so on,
as well as the various services and applications associated with them, such as
videoconferencing and distance learning. ICTs are often spoken of in a particular context,
such as ICTs in education, health care, or libraries. The term is somewhat more common
outside of the United States.
2. What is online computer safety?
1).Dont post any personal information online like your address, email address or mobile
number.
2).Think carefully before posting pictures or videos of yourself. Once youve put a picture of
yourself online most people can see it and may be able to download it, its not just yours
anymore.
3).Keep your privacy settings as high as possible.
4).Never give out your passwords.
5).Dont befriend people you dont know.
6).Dont meet up with people youve met online. Speak to your parent or carer about people
suggesting you do.
7).Remember that not everyone online is who they say they are.
8.)Think carefully about what you say before you post something online.
9).Respect other peoples views, even if you dont agree with someone elses views doesnt
mean you need to be rude.
10). If you see something online that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or worried: leave
the website, turn off your computer if you want to and tell a trusted adult immediately.

3. What is computer ethics?


Computer Ethics is a part of practical philosophy which concerns with how computing
professionals should make decisions regarding professional and social conduct.

4. List down and memorize the ten commandments in computer ethics.


1).Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.
2).Thou shalt not interfere with other people's computer work.
3).Thou shalt not snoop around in other people's computer files.
4).Thou shalt not use a computer to steal.
5).Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness.
6).Thou shalt not copy or use proprietary software for which you have not paid.
7).Thou shalt not use other people's computer resources without authorization or proper
compensation.
8).Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output.
9).Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you are writing or the
system you are designing.
10).Thou shalt always use a computer in ways that ensure consideration and respect for your
fellow humans.
