4. HULL PROTECTION
A)

Wooden plugs & half round pipes to fit ship side scupper and to remove after completion of hull painting.
Necessary staging and mobile cranes to be included.
B) Echo sounder, Doppler speed log transducer and newly installed anodes to be protected from grit blasting/spray
Painting applications, including all newly installed and re- used anodes.

5. OPENING UP AND CLEANING OF SEA CHEST


A) All gratings to be removed and refitted upon completion. Gratings and sea chests to be scrapped, cleaned,
and coated with two coat of AC and two coats of AF paints.
B) Prior refitting all sea chests owners representative / superintendents to be called for
inspection.

6. ZINC ANODES
A) Zinc anodes may either be supplied by shipyard or the owners. Renewed quantity will be confirmed on
inspection. All anodes supplied are to be based on 3 years of hull protection and bolted / welded type.
B) Old anodes to be removed and new anodes to fit, inclusive of accessory works / staging. All new anodes
to be coated with soft soap/grease to protect against spray painting.

7. ANCHOR, LOCKER AND CHAINS


Both anchors with chains to be ranged in the dock .The chain locker to be inspected and plate to be cropped &
renewed as required. Lockers to be internally cleaned and mud/scale removed and disposed off. Allow for 0.5 tons of
mud / water for each chain locker. Lockers to be coated with paint.
Both anchor with chains to be high pressure cleaned, loose studs welded, re-marked with paint & wire, calibrated and
measurement to be recorded. Measurement records to be handed over as soon as possible to the
Superintendent/Master. All joining shackles to be checked and replaced as instructed by the Superintendent/Master.
Joining shackles to be marked.

8. DECK CARGO CRANES

All 05 crane to be spot chipped & touch up two coat by primer and also full top coat to be applied.
All cranes (05 nos.) operator cabin doors, cabin glass fitting rubber packing & its retaining frames to be
renewed.
C)
All 05 cranes sheave to be opened, checked (along with others as normal practice in dry dock) and fitted back.
Bearings to be renewed.
D) The crane wires to be opened and refitted after the repair. The wire tension / functionality
to be tested and confirmed in order.
E) CRANE UPPER RAILING
All 05 cranes top maintenance side railing to be checked.
F) CRANE HYDRAULIC OIL COOLER CLEANING: - 5 NOS.
All crane hydraulic oil cooler complete with the fan and motor to be removed from place to yards workshop to
carry out the chemical cleaning. Cooler fan motors to open, clean and box back after the varnishing. The
cooler to pressure test. On completion the coolers to refit in place and tested in order.
G) CRANE RESTING CRUTCH
Crane fixing crutch no.1 dented, require to be cropped and renewed.
All crutch steps are badly damaged during Log loading/discharging & wooden pads are missing,
Require cropping and renewing as required.

H) CRANE COMPONENT GENERAL MAINTENENCE


As per the attached inspection report of all 05 cranes, the yard should review same in details in order to do the
normal maintenance without replacing the major components. This approach of owner is to avoid big expenses
but at the same time to improve the present situation to the level at which the cranes can be safely operated.
Yard to submit their technical proposal on this matter including the necessary recommended repairs as a
complete job basis.
I) CRANE JIB TO TAKE ASHORE
The crane jib to open and refit in place. Using the yards lifting facility each crane jib to be opened and taken
ashore for the ease of maintenance of jib sheaves and repair of dented part as per inspection report attached to
item (H) above.
J) Crane oil tanks to be drained and tank inside to be cleaned. Allow for 1000 Ltrs of
Hydraulic oil per crane. The drained oil to be refilled using filter subject to the satisfactory oil condition of the
oil.
K) Jib head crane Runner wire guider (Crane no- 01,03,04,05) are missing long time, need to be reinstalled.
L) Runner wire guider need to be fix up newly in warping drum (All o5 Crane).
M) Cargo hook crane swivel (Crane no- 02,03,04,05) are jammed long time, need to be free/renewed.

9. JAMBO DERRICK
Jambo derrick and associated hydraulic pump, motor & wire drums to be removed and amend stability booklet
after completion of inclining test under supervision of BV class.

10. SAMSON POST (PORT & STBD)


Samson post port & stbd to be removed and amend stability booklet after completion of inclining test under
supervision of BV class.

11. CARGO HOLD HATCH COVERS


A) The old hatch cover rubber packing to remove. The channels to be de-rusted and renewed as found necessary.
Hatch covers complete with the natural vents to be hose tested for weather tightness after fitting in place.
B) Hatch cover hydraulic system all five holds the operating hydraulic unit to be opened, taken ashore, serviced
and fitted back in place. On completion, the system to be tried out to the satisfaction to the attending
superintendent.
C) The hatch cover operating control units complete with the return line valve set to be removed from place
and taken ashore. The units to be overhauled with Orings. On completion the units to be fitted in place
and tested to the satisfaction of the attending superintendent.
D) The boxes for the hatch cover operating units to be removed from place. Same to be renewed.
E) Hatch cover Ram badly oil leaking, Ram seal to be renewed & need to be overhauled (Hatch no- 01 aft, 02 port
fwd, aft & stbd fwd, 03 port fwd, aft & stbd fwd, 04 port fwd, aft & stbd aft).
F) All cargo holds Hatch cover pontoon securing arrangement damage to be repaired.
G) Hatch cover operating Ram foundation/brackets/plates wastage for no-03 fwd port and stbd to be cropped &
renewed.
H) All electrical socket box for cargo lights at space in between holds (port & stbd) found defective, same to be
cropped and renewed. Most of them are thin down, corroded and hole.
I) Hatch cover opening /closing Hydraulic line thinned and wasted need to be chipped and affected area to be
repaired.
J) Heavy rusted on all Hatch covers, Hatch coamings top plates to be de-rusted and painted.
K) Rusted on all cargo hold Mushroom ventilations to be de-rusted and painted.
L) Hatch no- 03 &04 (four parts folding type pontoon) hinge need to be adjusted and check.at present not operating
smoothly.
M) On deck Hatch coaming vertical ladder (Hatch no- 02 port & stbd side and no-03 stbd side) to be renewed.

N) Hatch pontoon wheel arm bracket to be thinned and wasted (Hatch no- 01 port fwd, stbd fwd, no-02 stbd aft, no03 port fwd, stbd aft, no-04 stbd aft, center fwd & aft, no-05 port fwd, stbd fwd, center fwd & aft) to be renewed.
O) Track way in Hatch no-04 aft worn out, need to be repaired by installing new plate bar.
P) All frozen nuts and damaged for Hatch cover locking cleats to be free and repaired.

12. CARGO HOLD


A) All cargo Holds became very rusty. Require to chipping and painting ASAP.
B) Cargo Hold vertical ladder to be renewed (all Hold).
C) Cargo Hold all internal ship side frame, bottom girder & transverse bulkhead plate thickness to be measured
and thin & wasted part to be cropped and renewed as required.
D) All 05 Hold Tween deck plate, ship side frame, transverse bulkhead & stiffener thickness to be measured and
thin & wasted part to be cropped & renewed as required.

13. HOLD CO2 SYSTEM


A) Co2 line throughout the all hatches are dented and broken. also not protected with girder. Required to be checked
and rectify as required. Lines & nozzles to be blown through for leakage and/or blockage and pipes renewal to
be carried out as found necessary.
B) Cargo hold smoke detector line (Hold no- 01,02,03) are dented and broken. same to be checked and rectify as
required.

14. ALL WATER BALLAST TANK


All WBT to be de-mucked and thickness to be measured and thin & wasted part to be cropped and renewed as
required.

15. WATER BALLAST TANK VALVES


A) Various manual operated valves located in Tunnel to be remove / dismantled / seat ring renew / reassemble and leak test and refit in place. After refitting in place each vv to be function tested.
B) Fore peak tank v/v not deal properly in Tunnel, need to be over hauled.
C) Fore peak tank manual v/v on deck are not operational, same to be rectified.
D) Deep tank is 25cm full of Mud need to be clean.
16. FRESH WATER TANK
FW tank to be cleaned and painted.

17. HOLD BILGES SYSTEM


A) Non-return valve located inside the cargo holds to be removed to shore / overhauled and refit in place. After
refitting in place the valves to be function tested to the satisfaction of ships CO.
B) The cargo hold bilge lines to be tested by blowing through with air / water to confirm the status of the pipe
clearance.
C) All hold bilge covers (total 10 nos) corroded & thinned down, securing nuts & bolts totally wasted, to be
fabricated & replaced.

18. FORWARD WINDLASS & AFT MOORING WINCH


A) Fwd mooring winch gear box seal (oil leaking long time) to be renewed.
B) Fwd Anchor gear (port side) to be adjusted.

Aft mooring winch operation very sluggish, to be overhauled.


Fwd windlass gypsy (P & S) Corroded and Thinned down, to be built up in original shape.
Anchor spurling pipe (P & S) upper portion wasted and thinned down, to be cropped & Renewed.
Windlass anchor chain kicking bar ( P & S) to be removed from place and renewed.

19. ACCOMODATION LADDER REPAIR ( PORT & STBD)


Both port and stbd gangway (ALUMINUM MATERIAL) to be removed to ashore and refit and tested after the
necessary repairs.

20. FIRE LINE RENEWAL


Fire main line on deck thinned and wasted need to be chipped & affected area to be renewed.
21. SPARE ANCHOR
Ships spare anchor to take ashore and make free. On completion the anchor to paint black and placed back
onboard.

22. MAIN DECK


A) Heavy rusted on main deck and cross deck to be de-rusted and painted.
B) Heavy rusted on poop deck to be de-rusted and painted.
C) Bulwarks stay port and stbd side are badly damage by during Log loading/ discharging to be repaired.
23. LIFE BOAT
Totally enclosed life boat, Davit Type.
A) Both life boats to be taken ashore, body to clean and paint. The boats are to be marked as per LSA code and retroreflective tape to be pasted.
B) Dynamic test of the winch break. On-load release gear/ automatic release hooks through examination and
operational tested.

24. DECK REPAIR


General terms and conditions to apply In way of all working areas, the yard has to ensure that the area is
thoroughly cleaned and all rubbish resulting from various repairs during the entire dry-docking period to be
cleaned / removed from the ship under yard cost.
Prior departure, all above areas to be presented for the inspection by the master and/or the ships superintendent
to their satisfaction.
