The purpose of the AsBuilt Survey also commonly called a Physical Survey is to show the
propertyasitisbuiltataparticularpointintime.Whileapreconstructionsurveyisperformedto
documentconditionspriortoconstructionworkbeingperformed,theAsBuiltsurveyisconducted
toshowthecurrentstateofthesiteatvariousstagesthroughoutthedurationofaproject.Italso
servesasacloseoutdocumenttoverifythattheworkauthorizedwascompletedtoplansandin
compliancewithallrelevantstandardsandregulations.
AnAsbuiltsurveybuildsuponthebasemapofaproject,andincludesresearchatlocalagencies,
groundleveltopographydataandthedocumentationofvisiblesiteimprovements.Theadvantage
ofthissurveyisthatthenewBaseMapcanbeupdatedtoshowthecurrentconditionsofthesite.

AsBuiltSurveyorDesignSurvey
