Restructuring Plan for Parishes

in the Northern Vicariate

of the Diocese of Erie

St. John the Baptist / Holy Rosary

Partner St. John the Baptist Parish and Holy Rosary Parish
This reflects a change from the preliminary plan in which St. John Parish was going to
merge into Holy Rosary Parish.

St. Hedwig / St. Stanislaus / Holy Trinity

Merge St. Hedwig Parish into St. Stanislaus Parish, with St. Hedwig Church becoming a
secondary church of St. Stanislaus Parish.

Partner Holy Trinity Parish with St. Stanislaus Parish.

This reflects a change from the preliminary plan in which St. Hedwig was going to merge
into Our Mother of Sorrows Parish. Also under the preliminary plan, Holy Trinity was
going to remain a stand-alone parish.

Our Mother of Sorrows

Designate St. Casimir Church as the parish church, and St. Ann Church and Holy Family
Church as secondary churches of Mother of Sorrows Parish.
In the preliminary plan, St. Ann Church was going to be the parish church.

Mount Calvary / St. Mark the Evangelist

Partner Mount Calvary and St. Mark the Evangelist parishes.

No change from the preliminary plan.

St. Andrew / Sacred Heart / St. Paul

Partner St. Andrew Parish, Sacred Heart Parish, and St. Paul Parish together, with a
deacon to assist with the administration of St. Paul Parish.
In the preliminary plan, St. Andrew was going to partner with St. Jude the Apostle Parish
while Sacred Heart Parish and St. Paul Parish were to be partnered. St. Jude will now
remain a stand-alone parish.

St. Lawrence (Albion) / St. Philip (Crossingville)

Merge St. Philip Parish into St. Lawrence Parish, with St. Philip Church becoming a
secondary mission church of St. Lawrence Parish.
In the preliminary plan, St. Philip was going to be merged into Our Lady of the Lake
Parish in Edinboro. The final plan means Our Lady of the Lake will now remain a standalone parish. As a secondary mission church, St. Philip Church will have weekend Mass.

St. Anthony of Padua (Sheffield) / Holy Redeemer (Warren)

Merge St. Anthony Parish into Holy Redeemer Parish, with St. Anthony Church
becoming a secondary mission church of Holy Redeemer Parish.
No change from the preliminary plan.

St. Luke (Youngsville) / St. Joseph (Warren)

Merge St. Luke Parish into St. Joseph Parish, with St. Luke Church becoming a
secondary mission church of St. Joseph Parish.

St. Teresa of Avila (Union City)/ Our Lady of Fatima Mission (Canadohta
Lake)

Reduce the Sunday use of Our Lady of Fatima secondary mission church to seasonal use
only (Memorial Day through Labor Day).

St. Elizabeth (Corry) / St. Thomas the Apostle (Corry)

Merge St. Elizabeth Parish into St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, with St. Elizabeth Church
becoming a secondary church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.
