BRIM catalyst technology

For naphtha, distillate and VGO services, Topse offers a variety of hydrotreating
catalysts which are produced using our proprietary BRIM catalyst preparation
technology. Topses BRIM catalysts have proven to be the leading technology for
production of clean transportation fuels. By virtue of the unique method of catalyst
preparation, they exhibit a high activity and stability at all pressure levels on straightrun feed as well as on cracked feedstocks.

HyBRIM catalyst technology

With the invention of our HyBRIM catalyst preparation technology, we have added
new products to our portfolio that can help refiners reach their targets even more
efficiently. In hydrocracking pretreatment and high-pressure ULSD services, the new
product exhibits up to 40% higher activity than its predecessor. The increased activity
is equivalent to 7-8 C (13-15 F) lower required operating temperature. HyBRIM
combines existing BRIM technology with an improved catalyst preparation step,
resulting in a metal slab structure which improves interaction with the catalyst carrier
and increases activity. The HyBRIM catalyst exhibits the same high stability that our
clients have come to expect from all of our BRIM catalysts, with the added benefit
of a step change in HDS and HDN activity.

Hydrocracking catalysts
Topses portfolio of hydrocracking catalysts is developed for diesel-selective

combination with the appropriate Topse pretreater catalyst from the BRIM or the
HyBRIM series, have shown to provide a step-out performance compared to existing
hydrocracking catalysts in the industry. The RED hydrocracking catalyst series
provides exceptional middle distillate yields combined with excellent product
properties including high cetane number for diesel, high smoke point for kerosene
and high viscosity index for unconverted oil. The BLUE series provides an even better
middle distillate yield with superior cold flow product properties and the latest D-SEL
catalyst series, combining the best from the two other series with the highest middle
distillate yield.
