THE TITLE
IMPORTANT OF THE TITLE
Title will be read by thousand of people.
Perhaps few people, if any will read the entire
paper, but many will read the title (proposal,
FYP thesis, or technical paper or in journal)
WHAT IS GOOD TITLE?
The fewest possible words that adequately
describe the contents of the report.
Ironically, long titles are often less meaningful
than short ones.

terms or abbreviations that you intend
to use.
Brief description of the whole topic.
In the Introduction you should have a
hook to gain the readers attention.

The purpose of the Introduction is to

introduce the intended work.
Thus, the 1st rule definition of the
problem.
Obviously, if the problem is not stated in
reasonable, understandable way, readers
will have no interest in your work

SUGGESTED RULES FOR A

GOOD INTRODUCTION :
The Introduction present first, with all possible clarity,
the nature and scope of the problem investigated.
Review the pertinent literature to orientate the reader.
State the method of the investigation. If deemed
necessary the reason for the choice of a particular
method should be stated.
Principal results of the investigation.
Principal conclusion of the investigation. Do not keep
the reader in suspense, let the reader follow the
development of the evidence.

LITERATURE REVIEW
The literature review and choice of method
should be presented in such way that the
reader will understand what are the
problem was and how you attempted
to resolve it.
The statement of principal results and
conclusions, should be the capstone of the
Introduction.

LITERATURE REVIEW
Cite other researcher study that support
your study
Should cite their research (Mahyun, 2015) and
put in the references
(Mahyun A. W., Abdullah R., Abustan I., Adam M. K. M., and Nur Atiqah A. A., (2014) The
Radar-Rainfall Relationship for Northern Region of Peninsular Malaysia, International Journal of

BENEFIT OF STUDY
What is your contribution to others by
doing the research?
What your research can help current
situation?
Outlines the findings, evidence or
conclusions that you expected to gain.

The aim here is not so much to anticipate

your study but rather to say what at this
stage you able to find.
Indicate the interpretation and conclusions
that you will place upon them.
Elaborate on how you will use your data to
answer your research question(s)/
objective(s) to make generalization, and to
defend assertions.

REFERENCES
All pieces of literature referred should be
listed at the end of the FYP proposal
The standard methods reporting references
should be followed. (Harvard Style)

AN ADVICE
- BEGIN WRITING the FYP report while
the work is still in progress. This
makes the writing easier because
everything is fresh in your mind.
- Furthermore, the writing process itself is
likely to point to inconsistencies in the
results or perhaps to suggest interesting
sidelines that might be followed.

Last but not least,
