How do we know if the rice buyer is new or experienced,

New: Can you send me a pricelist of your rice?
Experienced: Magkano pinakapang mababa niyo?
Most experienced rice traders do not go by rice varieties. They would ask how
much ang pinaka mababa to know how they will display each rice sa retail store
nila.
so say they have 8 boxes to ll, they would start pricing at P38, P39, P40, P41,
P42, P43, P44, P45.
They would ll the P38 peso box with the cheapest rice price they can get,
upwards until they complete lling up their boxes.
1. Experienced Rice Traders know that Rice Prices are volatile, hence they look for
the cheapest rice available to benchmark.

2. They also know that sack name does not guarantee quality, Angelica,
Sinandomeng sacks could be used without regards to the quality. So they are
more keen on the quality of grains and less on the name of the sack.
3. Isabella, Cagayan, Nueva Ecija rice are myths. It doesnt follow that rice came
from isabella, Cagayan or Nueva Ecija are good quality rice. Pampanga, Laguna
and Quezons are also as good and sometimes better in terms of grain quality and
recovery ratio.
4. Retail Stores replenish their supply every 2 3 weeks, and it does not
guarantee that what they sell before is the same as what they will get. Yet
previous Price Tags that says Isabella, Sinandomeng, etc are not being changed.
Though it maybe not their intention to make people believe that what they sell is
not what they really is, it is just simply tedious to make new price tag every time
new supply is available. No one can recognize the difference anyway, as all rice
regardless where it came from are just all the same.
