The purpose of this communiqué is to introduce my resumé and acquaint you with my education, experience and
enthusiasm for the field of graphic design. My name is Agus Junaedi and on May 2010, I completed my Bachelor of
Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Colorado State University–
Pueblo, Colorado. Previously I earned an Associate Degree in Advertising and Graphic Design at Randolph Community
College Asheboro, North Carolina, having graduated in May 2006. As you will discover upon perusing my resumé,
I was on the Dean’s and President’s lists respectively at each institution and earned numerous honors and awards.
I am seeking and would very much like to be considered for a Art Director position with your company. As you
will see from the resumé, my work experience in graphic design field ranges from being a college instructor in
my native country of Indonesia to significant employment both there and in the USA.
My formal education, work and personal experiences have provided me with a mastery of photo editing and
digital imaging, a solid foundation in creative typography, typesetting, letterforms, calligraphy, printmaking, a
mastery of photo editing and digital imaging, extensive experience in photography, and broad knowledge of
digital workflow for prepress and applicable knowledge for web design, high level skills at creating visual
graphics for many purposes, from packaging to advertising and publication, logo making, branding and limited
work on video editing.
Personally, I have always been captivated by how visual arts can be motivating, provoking and stimulating and felt
quite honored when college professors publically assessed my work as “having raised the bar in their respective
classes.” Always striving to make my enthusiasm contagious, be it in a classroom or on the job, I see graphic
design as my vehicle to express and communicate. What I like about graphic design is that it almost has no
boundaries; it ends up as a collaboration of many different disciplines such as typography, photography, digital
retouching and illustration to communicate and convey a message. The final step, the production component,
ensuring that the concept is presented in the most seductive, engaging way possible, excites me beyond what
mere words can describe. As a graphic artist, as is evidenced by my work, I pride myself on being an absolute
perfectionist; in order to ensure that my work is the utmost in quality, I self-evaluate constantly and edit my work
continually until I am certain beyond any doubt that the margin for error is zero. It is at that point that I can say
without reservation that I have achieved the excellence for which I always strive.
I fully believe the aforementioned paragraphs coupled with my resumé will hopefully provide you with a concise yet
