Casual leave (CL)

Encashment of Leave:
2.1

EL/AL & SL will be encashable . Encashment of EL/AL & SL shall be allowed for
every additional leave in excess of 30 days accumulated leave in individual leave
account (for EL & SL separately).

2.2

Number of CL not availed by the end of leave year, will be encashable but it can
not be accumulated.

The excess of all above mentioned leave accumulated in individual leave account
shall automatically stand lapsed if it will not be claimed for encashment within one
year of one's entitlement. Employee leaving services of the company as a
consequences of resignation or termination of services or death while in the
services will be paid in lieu of EL/AL & SL standing to his credit at the time of
cessation of their services.

General Rules:
3.1

No leaves can be claimed as a matter of right. Sanction of leave is always subject


to exigencies of work and at managements sole discretion. Mere submission of
application for leave shall not be deemed as to leave having been sanctioned.

3.2

Except in case of emergency no leave will be availed of without prior written


sanction. In case of emergency, leave application / intimation must be received by
the company or section heads within three days from the first day of absence.

3.3

When leave is required for more than 3 days at a time, the leave application shall
be submitted preferably 30 days in advance or in any case application should not
be submitted less than 15 days in advance to section head and same will be only
approved by Director ( Finance )/ Managing Director of Energo Engineering
Projects Ltd.

3.4

In the event of an employee proceeding on leave before the leave is sanctioned,


the employee will be treated as absent without permission subject to clause 3.2 of
general rules.

3.5

Extension of leave shall be allowed only if information is given before expiry of


leave already sanctioned, subject to approval of management.

3.6

Weekly off / holiday as may be declared by company from time to time may be
prefixed and/or suffixed to any kind of leave but such days and intervening
weekly off will not be counted as a part of leave.

3.7

EL/AL leave shall be allowed to avail only three times in a year on block leave
basis.

3.8

All employees who has worked for a period of 240 days or more shall be allowed
to avail of EL/AL leave.

General Rule for Short Leave


4.1

To discourage whole day/half day absenteeism or unplanned leave, employee may


be allowed to avail short leave i.e. hrs to 2 hrs in case of emergency or urgent
personal work.

4.2

Head of Department may sanction short leave of their staff, if he/she thinks the
short leave is unavoidable. Total number of short leave per employee will not exceed
12 (twelve) in a year and HOD has to ensure that the target of that day must be
achieved from the concerned employee.

4.3

General rules:
4.3.1

No short leave can be claimed as a matter of right. Sanction of leave is


always subject to exigencies of work and at managements sole discretion.

4.3.2 Details of every short leave must be submitted through Leave Application
with reason of leave duly approved by HOD.

5.0

Outdoor Duty (OD)


5.1

OD should be planned beforehand and sanctioned OD Slip must be submitted


to HR department before going on OD.

5.2

In case of an emergency/urgent work, if an employee goes on OD, it must


be informed to HOD/HR department and the OD Slip should be submitted to
HR Department immediately after joining office or maximum within two days
of resuming office.

This policy will strictly be applicable for all employees and effective from 01.01.2008.
