JSA to be prepared as per the approved JMS activities and submitted for
approval, work to be carried only after getting approval of JSA.
The First Aider will be informed of the ongoing activity and First Aid Box with
ingredients shall be made available at site. Ambulance would be stationed
outside terminal for the duration of site work.

Deployment of hole watcher is mandatory for any confined space entry prior
to obtaining PTW.
VI.
For any emergency, assembly and evacuation would be done based on the
Terminal sirens and follow the terminal instructions.
Project emergency response for height work and entrapment shall be followed as per

Responsible for overall execution planning at micro level, monitoring and controlling of all
fabrication, erection and commissioning activities to be ensure fulfillment of contract
commitment.

agencies and forward relevant feedback to concerned till the completion of contract.

Construction Engineer
Reporting to Construction Manager and Responsible for:-
Responsible for overall construction activities on site, and maintaining safety norms, for
complying, environment, health & safety of construction
To ensure that all construction activities are as per approved procedure
Responsible for execution, planning and quality of fabrication, erection and painting
Responsible for handling of material supplied by client

Quality Engineer
Reporting to Quality Manager and responsible for:Quality Management system implementation and monitoring
All activity control on site construction
Witnessing and reporting as per relevant ITP requirement.
Reports sign off and maintaining
Monitoring of construction activity as per API 653 & IS-803. If any deviation found, informed
to concern Dept. at the early stage.

a. Erection of Scaffolding
Deflector plate location is with existing curb channel which is at top, therefore to reach at the
location we need to erect scaffolding around the tank.

The damaged curb channel must be kept untouched and retained as damaged because cut bu (to be
left as they are)

The location of stiffener angle will be kept offset with the vertical joints of curb channels and groove
will be cut from stiffener angle where it is coinciding with curb channel weldings. After fitup all
grooves will be ground welded.
Deflector cleat must be clear from shell plate and do not touch with the same. No spacer plate will
be used in between deflector cleat and shell plate. No Welding /Hot work will be done on shell plate.

The removed deflector plates will now erected over deflector cleat and welded as fixed earlier. A
uniform gap must be there in between shell and deflector plates. No hot work or welding will be
done on shell plate.
5.
Painting
stiffener angle with existing curb channel and hence sequence for erection of
deflector arrangement on the stiffener angle must be sand blasted and primer
painted as per the specification at shop prior to reach at site. The touch up painting
will be done after completion of all works and pattern must be matched with the
existing pattern of tank.
6.
Quality Controls/Checks
The activities involved in the construction are much diversified and
therefore it is required to maintain all records and reports. The reports
and records must be retaining for future reference. Prior to
commencement of any work it is required to know the scope of work,
the method to execute and the safety measures to achieve the quality
and safety goal of the organization. Inspection and Test Plan should
come in existence to support the construction activities. This will
develop a culture of close supervision in construction activities, the
basic quality control measures are as:
i. SITP: Site inspection and test planning
ii. Field Observation reports
iii. Regular inspection and random inspection
iv. Conformity and non conformity as per the standard of construction
v. Recording of all inspections through approved formats
vi. Organizing job specific tool box to educate the workman engaged in
individual activities
