Act of Consecration to the Holy Family

All: Almighty and Eternal Father, we, the . (e.g. the Aoanan) family,
(Then, all continue together)
Consecrate ourselves to word of God and our home to the Holy
Family of Bethlehem. We consecrate ourselves to Jesus Christ, our
lord, who loves us with a tender and everlasting love; to Mary our
Mother who ceaselessly intercedes for us, and to the protective care
of the glorious St. Joseph to whom was bestowed the care of the
only begotten son of God. From this day on, May we be more open
to their friendship and return their love as they come into our family
to live and share our life in a special way.
Father, we freely make this covenant of love with you. In imitation of
the Holy Family, we re-dedicate to you all that we are, all that we
have, without any reservation on our part, promising to amend our
lives by turning away from sin and all that might lead us into sin.
Father, we accept Jesus, Mary and Joseph as living members of our
lives, our homes and joys and comfort us in our sorrows. May your
Holy Spirit make us continually aware of their special presence
among us and in one another.
Stay with us, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, and through this consecration,
help us to have a deep and loving respect for one another. Help us
to imitate your gentle and humble hearts that we may give of
ourselves in the faithful performance of our family obligations, to
each other and to all mankind. With the motherly aid of Blessed
Mother Mary and the protective care of her spouse, glorious Joseph,
may this Enthronement lead us to a renewed confidence in your
mercy for the whole human family, especially the poor and the
oppressed?
Use us, Lord, to make your known beyond our home. Dispel all our
doubts. Strengthen our faith. Fill us with holy hope. Guide us to the
solutions necessary to bring about justice and peace for all. Wipe
away our fears and anxieties. Teach us the way to overcome class
distinction, hatred and civil strife. Penetrate us with your love and
empower us with your divine grace to do your holy will always. We
make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
