Green Construction Corp. was founded by Herschel V. Green in 1948 in Miami, Florida
and remains privately-held and financially sound.

Green Construction Corp. is led by President Richard M. Horton and key members of the
management team George R. Brown, Jr. and Elizabeth A. Green with over forty years
experience.

President of Green Construction Corp.
Richard M. Horton, President of Green Construction Corp., with 48 years of construction experience,
has operated Green Construction Corp. for over 30 years, and is the Licensing Qualifier for the firm.
Mr. Horton is very familiar with the procedures necessary to fast track construction and to coordinate
with Owner/Developers and Project Architects/Engineers in projecting and monitoring costs,
performing value engineering and secures all building and occupancy permits.
Mr. Horton has a strong background in value engineering and knows how an improvement will
function over its life cycle in order to determine true cost. He is responsible for design and
development of office buildings, high-rise apartments, multi-family housing, garden apartments, and
retail centers in the Florida area in Miami, Palm Beach, Plantation, Tampa, and Orlando. Mr. Hortons
experience includes:
As qualifier for Green Construction Corp., Mr. Horton oversees all construction activities including:

Direct project management.


Construction budget preparation and monitoring.
Securing of all required building and occupancy permits.
Direct involvement with architects and engineers in planning and design/development of
projects.

1980 - 1983
President - R.M. Horton Construction Corp., Miami, Florida.
Construction consultant to clientele involved in real estate development.

1977 - 1980
Vice President - Kendall Builders, Inc., Miami, Florida.
As chief administrator for the firm, negotiated all contract agreements with owners and developers.
Negotiated subcontractors contract agreements.
Directed overall project management and
coordination. Prepared contract cost breakdowns and payment requisitions. Established job cost
accounting procedures in conjunction with data processing reports. Supervised estimating from takeoff to complete bid summary and preparation. Projects included high rise office buildings, low rise
office parks, condominiums, townhouse communities, tract housing, industrial warehouses and
manufacturing plants.

1966 - 1977
Vice President - R.P.C., Inc. of Miami, General/Mechanical Contractors, Miami, Florida.
Performed all estimating duties, contract administration, project management, equipment selection and
purchasing, shop drawing approvals, and acted as liaison between architect, engineer and owner.
Projects included prime construction of pollution control facilities, underground pumping stations,
water treatment plants, energy centers and industrial plants. Subcontractors for HVAC, plumbing and
fire protection systems in high rise apartments, hotels and hospitals.
