Hamlet Hears a Who!

Edward Lin and James Sinoimeri

On a Denmark night, after Old Hamlet's plight,
Hamlet the prince went through a horrible fright.
His friends on the guard, with fear their minds marred,
reported to Hamlet of the courtyard.
He was brought out, ears up and about,
when he saw a small sight, and heard a small sound!
Angels and ministers of grace defend us!
The ghost of old Hamlet was causing a fuss.
It beckoned to Hamlet with such noble grace, perhaps it was telling him to save nobility's face.
It told him of wicked deeds done by Claudius, and how Hamlet must avenge him, Don't be a wuss!
Too late I suppose, Hamlet was doubtful the words of a ghost might not be so truthful.
After hearing the words of daddy so dear, he vowed to make the situation all clear.
I KNOW! I'LL ACT CRAZY AT ONCE, I'll put up my antics, I'll fool that dunce.
Oh, but what a rogue and peasant slave am I, that even with a ghost's word I couldn't hurt a fly.
Poor Hamlet, so torn between do and do not, he knows of the road, with danger it's fraught.
What ho! And idea? What might it be? Why, he'll command a play that Claudius will seeI'll have these players play the murder of my father! And if he shows that he is inclined to be
bothered,
I will bring unto him a terrible slaughter.
