EXCLUSIVE ORIGINAL
1. EO over civil actions and probate proceedings,
including the grant of provisional remedies, in proper
cases, where the value of subject prop, estate or
amount of the demand does not exceed P300,000.00
outside Metro Manila or P400,000.00 in Metro Manila
EO over admiralty and maritime cases where the
demand or claim does not exceed P300,000.00 outside
Metro Manila or P400,000.00 in Metro Manila
An action for specific performance OR damages in the
alternative where the amount sought does not exceed
P300,000.00 outside Metro Manila or P400,000.00 in
Metro Manila
EO over cases of forcible entry and unlawful detainer
(but if the defendant raises the issue of ownership and
the question of possession cannot be resolved without
deciding the issue of ownership, the issue of the
ownership shall only be resolved to determine the issue
of possession, hence not conclusive)
2. EO over real actions where the assessed value of the
prop. Or any interest therein does not exceed 20k
outside MM or does not exceed 50k in MM. ex. Of real
action : reconveyance of real prop, removal of cloud in
the title of real prop, cancellation of title

3. EO over civil cases covered by the rules on summary
procedure
Forcible entry and unlawful detainer , IRRESPECTIVE of

outside MM or 200 k in MM , exclusive of interests and
costs

DELEGATED
1. Cadastral and land registration cases may be
assigned by the SC covering
a. Lots where there is no controversy or opposition
b. Contested lots where the value of which does not
exceed 100k (value to be ascertained by the
affidavit of the claimant, agreement of the
respective claimants or tax declaration)
Note: appealable in the same manner as decisions of the
RTC

SPECIAL
1. Petition for habeas corpus
2. Application for bail

EXCLUSIVE ORIGINAL
1. All civil actions in which the subject matter is
incapable of pecuniary estimation (where the subj
matter of the litigation may not be estimated in
terms of money and the money claim is purely
incidental or a consequence of the relief sought) ex.
An action for specific performance, such as a suit to
enforce the agreement on joint child custody
2. Real actions where the prop involve exceeds 20k
outside MM and 50k in MM
3. Admiralty and maritime cases where the demand
exceeds 300k outside MM or 400k in MM
4. Matters of probate where the gross value of the
estate exceeds 300k outside MM and 400k in MM
5. All actions involving the contract of marriage and
marital relations
6. All cases not within the exclusive jurisdiction of any
court, tribunal, person or body exercising jurisdiction
of any court or exercising judicial or quasi-judicial
functions (ex. Constitutionality of rules and reg
issued by the Bureau of Customs)
7. In all civil actions, special proceedings falling within
the EO jurisdiction of a Juvenile and Domestic
Relations court and of the Court of Agrarian Relations

RTC as Special Agrarian Court has EO jurisdiction


over determination of just compensation
8. In all other cases in which the demand, exclusive of
interest, damages of whatever kind, attorneys fees
etc or the value of the prop in controversy exceeds
300k outside MM and 400k in MM (where the
damages is merely incidental, otherwise it would
depend on the amount sought for)
9. Other cases falling under the EO of the RTC as
provided by law/ROC
a. Cases involving intra-corporate controversies (Sec
5.2 of Securities and Regulation Code (ex.
Controversies in the elections and appointments of
directors, trustees, officers or managers of such
corp., partnership or assoc.)
b. Petition for annulment of judgment over decisions
and final orders of the MTC,MCTC
c. Civil case for infringement of copyright and unfair
competition under IP Code
d. As family courts created by RA 8639, over child
and family cases
e. Petition for civil forfeiture of monetary instrument,
prop or proceeds representing, involving or relating
to an unlawful activity or to money laundering
offense

f. Petition questioning the existence, validity and
enforceability of an arbitration agreement

g. Petition for judicial relief from the ruling of arbitral


tribunal on a preliminary question upholding or
declining jurisdiction (Special Rules on Alternative
Dispute Resolution(ADR)
h. Petition for interim measure of protection (ADR)
i. Petition for appointment of arbitrator (ADR)
j. Petition challenging the appointment of arbitrator
(ADR)
k. Petition to terminate the mandate of an arbitrator
(ADR)
l. Petition for assistance in taking an evidence
m. Petition for protective order
n. Petition for confirmation, correction/modification or
vacation of a domestic arbitral award
o. Petition to recognize and enforce, set aside an
arbitral award and foreign arbitral award
ORIGINAL
1. Issuance of writs of certiorari, prohibition,
mandamus, quo warranto, habeas corpus and
injunction w/c may be enforced in any part of their
respective regions
2. In actions affecting ambassadors and other public
ministers and consuls
