Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to verify the key aspect that conclude the growth of the
microfinance institutions. The target population was the people that participated in
these MFIs which in many cases were women groups, middle and low income earners
in Southern Punjab , however attention was primarily on the individuals / groups that
were registered with the Khushhali Bank in Southern Punjab. The Exploratory
research method is to be used for this research. Primary data is to be used . For data
collection, techniques such as questionnaires, observation and interviews will be used.
Sampling technique is also to be applied and results analyzed in qualitatively and
quantitatively terms of descriptive statistics.
Finally, conclusion on the factors determining the growth of microfinance institutions in
Southern Punjab are to be arrived at and areas for
further research identified . suggestions for improved process and management of the
microfinance is also to be noted.
