Questionnaire Feedback and Statistical Review

After completing and exporting my television ident, I began creating a

questionnaire for peer feedback. The questionnaire that I designed
included seven questions in total that are aimed at providing extra
information from other people in order to help me improve my ident
further. I included both open and closed questions in my questionnaire to
help provide a larger variety of answers from people who took my
questionnaire, so that I could analyse my video advert in more detail.
The first question that I asked on my form was Do you think the music
suits the theme of my ident?. Out of the ten people that I asked, 9 people
replied with Yes, with some of my peers elaborating on this further by
commenting that the music also made the ident more memorable. This
shows me that an overwhelming majority of people who gave feedback on
my product thought that my choice of music in the ident was appropriate
for the purpose of the video.
The person who responded No to this question also stated that the music
is exactly the same throughout and does not change, as it is an
instrumental song. I can see how this could be perceived by some to be
boring as it is the same type of music throughout the whole of the
product.
As there is only one person who thinks that the choice of music does not
suit the ident, I will not alter the music I have chosen. This is because I do
not think that there is enough people who dislike the music for me to
change the song completely as there are many more people who think
that the music is relevant for my televisual ident.

Do you think the music suits my ident?

Yes

No

The next question that I included on my questionnaire asked Do you like

any transitional effects I have included in my ident?. This question in
particular provided a range of mixed responses, with many positive
comments on various transitional effects within my ident.
All of the ten people that responded to this question replied with a simple
Yes with over half of people elaborating on this by stating which
particular transitional effects they liked most.
One person commented that they were specifically impressed by the
transition effects between each video clip in my ident. They said that the
clips flowed smoothly from each scene. This is because I decided to split
up the clips by adding a separate screen between the clips to state when
the programmes will be showing on The Grid. This meant that the video
clips did not just play back- to- back without the audience understanding
what is happening in the ident.

Do you like any transitional effects I have used in my ident?

Yes

No

In conclusion the feedback I received from my peers was mostly positive

with many people choosing to point out specific parts in my ident that
they preferred the most. Therefore, from the research I have gathered I

would say that the TV ident I created would be successful if used in the
real- world. Most people also stated that the ident fulfilled the client brief,
meaning I have met the clients requirements and achieved my objective.
