but, the more you know, the easier teaching will be. This first assignment will help you in
understanding the operating systems of computers. You may find yourself teaching in a
school that only uses Mac/Apple computers. Or, you may prefer using Mac over a PC or
PC over Mac.

Read: Understandingoperatingsystems (Found in Module 1) and watch the video about

Operating Systems.

an OS do?)

3. What is one practical benefit of multitasking? (lots of open tabs, open documents,

4. Information regarding the graphical user interface (GUI) is common in modern

operating systems. Both the Macintosh and Windows OS can suffer from the
problem of a cluttered screen. (Is your screen cluttered?) Or is your desktop
cluttered? What is an issue with a cluttered desktop?
