learning skills.

Developmental characteristics of students: Every marking period, Mrs. Rhett receives a revised schedule with new classes
and new students. I havent met these learners before and they havent had physical education with Mrs. Rhett this year.
However, they did have physical education last year with Mrs. Rhett. Mrs. Rhett tells me that this 3rd grade class learns as a 1st
or 2nd grade class would. Some children are on the spectrum and definitely have learning disabilities. There are 4 aides in the
class of 10 students, so ultimately each student will have an adult with them.
Description of student(s) who need accommodations: The whole class will need accommodations. While I dont know all of
the students disabilities I will accommodate each student as best as I can throughout the lessons activity. Look in the
accommodations section.
Instructional Objectives:
Psychomotor1. SWBAT manipulate the hula hoop to go around their body from 1 hand to the other hand to continue the groups
circle to circle activity.
2. SWBAT demonstrate 3 of the 5 locomotor skills like, skipping, galloping and running.
3. SWBAT perform and demonstrate what it is to be an athlete in Mrs. Rhett & Ms. Cs classroom by demonstrating the
classroom rules.
Cognitive1. SWBAT identify 3 of the 5 locomotor skills, galloping, skipping, running, hopping, and walking.
2. SWBAT analyze how to manipulate the hula hoop to get from 1 hand to the other hand to continue the groups/
circle to circle activity.
3. SWBAT recognize at least 1 rule from Mrs. Rhett classroom guideline poster.
Affective1. SWBAT demonstrate what it is to be an athlete in Mrs. Rhett & Ms. Cs classroom by demonstrating the classroom
rules by keeping hands to themselves, talking while the teacher is talking and listening to directions.
