In Mauritania, seeking to end an overfed ideal

The problem discussed in the article is the obesity, the overfed women,
because in Mauritania the ideal woman is fat. One of five women,
between 15 and 49 years old, are deliberately overfed. They are forced
to go in with thorough served methods: -forcing girls to eat in excess,
milk drink, torturing women, (they are forced to drink their vomit), and
prescribing steroids and drugs.
Since 2001 the situation has been changing. The women's ministry
organized a slim-down campaign on TV and radio giving a new
message: being fat brings a lot of health problems: heart problems,
diabetes, high blood pressure.
The changes are slow:
Firstly, for a cultural reason the women are proud to be fat, The beautiful
And a sexy woman is a fat woman.
Secondly, in the desert the seventy-five percent of women dont watch
TV or listen to the radio.
Finally the men don't understand obesity damages.
Its terrible because it happened in Africa, the poorest continent in the
world, where people are starving one of the principal causes of death is
hunger.

KILL TO EAT
The topic of the article is the tradition of aboriginal people from Australia
and the strictest rules they must respect for hunting. The article also
speaks about the relationship of respect with the natural environment.
It`s the story of an aboriginal family with seven kids. The father worked for
the government and received for his work a small salary and a poor
ration of food to feed his family. So they had to hunt to eat, using
different weapons make for themselves. They had rules for hunting.
They only kill birds and animals to eat, never for fun.
One day, the older brothers went to hunt birds. The oldest brother killed
a kookaburra. He had broken the aborigen rule.
They had never killed this bird because it`s a friend of hunters.
This bird gives happiness to the tribes with his laughter.
The children were punished by their parents.
They couldn't use their weapons for three months and they had to eat the
white man's ration.

Altrough only one of the brothers killed the bird, were punished all

WORKOLOGY: studies are in all those

The article speaks about the use of communications devices at work.
They were created to save our time, to keep us connected, but they
become a problem. For example, ring in work meetings, in restaurants,
on buses, in the cinema.
People who own cellphones tend to work more than those who dont.
With cellphones there is nowhere to hide. People can track you down no
matter where you are.
Now it seems that more companies are realizing there might be liability
involved and are banning the use of cellphones while employees are
behind the wheel. (in the car)
Studies around the world in the past few years have shown you can't talk
on a cell phone and drive, no matter if it is hand-held or hands-free.
The demand from constant communication is the cause of a lot of
stress. you end up with more and more grumpy (irritable) people,
constantly distracted by these digital interruptions.
No wonder, office workers are increasingly suffering from a new type of

Seasonal Affective Disorder. They find lose-lose. They feel frustrated

when we cannot reach somebody and resentful, stressed, impatient,
when they are constantly interrupted by the technology.
Workplace rules are needed properly.
These eight simple rules for modern business communications etiquette:

-Turn cellphones off in meetings,

-Change only receive a text message for urgent calls.
-Turn device screens off when holding (having) meetings in your office.
-If you are expecting an urgent call, apologize and warn other in advance
-Give your full attention to the person with whom you are talking.
-Hold private calls in private places.
-Forget email- take a walk to your colleagues office and have a chat.
-Remember technology is not power . it does not signify your importance.
