1. Hypotenuse

The longest side of a

right triangle
2. Leg

3. Angle

A side of a triangle; one

of the sides of a right
triangle that is not the
hypotenuse

The amount of turn

between two straight
lines that have a
common endpoint

4. Equilateral

All sides are equal

5. Isosceles

Two sides of equal

length
6. Equilateral

Equal in size and

length. All angle
measures and side
lengths are equal
The ratio of any two
linear dimensions of
one shape will
correspond to another
of the same geometric
shape.

8. Obtuse

Angle that equals

greater than 90
9. Acute

Angle that equals less

10. Right

Angle that equals 90

Lesson 2 Assessments
I will use a set of two questions to formatively assess student thinking in this lesson.
The two questions will be:
i. What is something you learned today that you feel confident in?
ii. What is something you learned today that you feel unsure about?

Lesson 3 Assessments
I will be using the students notes as an assessment in this lesson. The notes will have
student explanations of similarity and congruence, which will show me how well they
understand the topics. I will also formatively assess the whole groups understanding by
creating a T-chart on the board. I will also give students a summative assessment for
the learning segment.

Example T-Chart
